Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
Rebellion
was the 5th major set that was introduced into Splinterlands and just like the previous sets, it has introduced a new batch of abilities to the game, expanding the variety of strategies and card synergies that we can use to win our battles. That is why it is important for us to familiarize with how this new abilities work.
And so, with the previous weeks, I did started to have my in depth review on the Rebellion abilities to know what are their weakness and which situations they prevail. I temporarily paused it last week to take a look on Kelan Gaines, the newest voucher card and the update on rental market but I once again resume it this week to take a look on the Corrupted Healing Ability
.
What is Corrupted Healing Ability?
Corrupted Healing
is an ability that was first introduced with the Rebellion soulbound reward cards. As the name suggest, this ability can be used to restore the health of an ally unit, similar to Heal and Triage but unlike Heal or Triage that can only restore the health of only one monster at a time, Corrupted Healing
can restore the health of all ally units. What's more is that it will heal 70%
of the allied units max health. There is a downside though as each time that a unit was healed, their max health will be reduced by 1.
Prons
✨ Can heal allied units by 70% of their health.
✨ Can heal multiple units that receives damage regardless of their position.
Cons
🚫 Units with the Corrupted Healing cannot be healed by the ability.
💔 Each time that a unit is healed, they lose 1 health.
🎯 Afflicted units cannot be healed.
🌟 Cleanse will not restore max health to units healed via Corrupted Heal.
Best Ruleset

Bad Ruleset
![]() Healed Out | All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners. |
Since Corrupted Healing
can heal multiple units, they are best used on rulesets where damage on multiple units are guaranteed to happen each round like Explosive Weaponry and Noxious Fumes in order to extend the life of your ally units. On the other hand, just like any Healing abilities, Corrupted Healing
is also unusable during Healed Out ruleset.
Cards with Impede Ability
As of the moment, there is only 1 card with the Corrupted Healing
ability being it the card Arachne Weaver which is a soulbound reward card. So technically, you can grab this card by using the Glint you earned to get the card on the Glint shop.
Battle Showcase
In this battle, the Noxious Fumes ruleset was at play, meaning all units will be poisoned and on such case, units were guaranteed to get damage each round. So this just makes for a good opportunity to use Arachne Weaver to help restore the health of my cards to last longer in battle. During round 1, it immediately was able to showcase its ability by restoring the health of Harklaw by 6 but as a result, its health was reduced to 8.
On round 2, the power of Corrupted Healing became more visible as it heal not only Harklaw but it goes all the way to Usut which is my last position card but at the same time, it was the second time that Harklaw was healed so it loses 2 health and with a reduced health, the life that was restored was also reduced from 6 on the first round to 5 the second round.
Same with round 2, all units were healed by Corrupted Healing at the expense of having their max health reduced by 1.
The battle finally ends in round 4 and as you can see, all my cards are alive despite them having the poison debuff. Through the battle, Harklaw was healed 4 times so its health was reduced from 9 to 5 while for the rest of the cards, their max health was reduced by 3. Although Arachne Weaver was not able to use heal as an effect of the Corrupted Healing, it was still able to last long enough to provide healing to my team due to its Scavenger ability.
Closing
As a new ability that comes with Rebellion set, Corrupted Healing
was more of a support ability, an extremely powerful one but also has its drawbacks so you still needs to carefully asses the situation and not blindly use the card. Having only one card with this ability, there is very few use case for Corrupted Healing
but I assume that with the next set coming close, we are likely to see more card with this ability.
Thank you and see you at the next post.
