"Fungi Friday- Discovering Life in Old Coconuts and Damp Soil"

in voilk •  2 days ago

Today was a beautiful Friday, full of surprises from nature. On my way to explore the village forest, I found two very interesting types of mushrooms, and their stories made my day special.

The first mushroom I found was Baeospora myosura. I found it growing on a rotten coconut, lying near an irrigation channel. This sight was very unique because this mushroom looked like it was decorating the old coconut that became the perfect home for new life. I decided to take some macro photos, focusing on the texture and shape of this mushroom. Then, I also took a photo of the coconut as a whole to illustrate the environment where this mushroom grew. The dim sunlight and humid atmosphere added a magical touch to the moment.

and this is a portrait of an old coconut with mushrooms growing on it.

The second mushroom I found was Pluteus salicinus. This mushroom grew in damp soil filled with rotting leaves, not far from the edge of the irrigation canal in my village forest. The location felt very natural, like a hidden corner of forest life. This mushroom looked so beautiful with its alluring colors, standing tall among the remains of rotting leaves. I spent quite a long time photographing this mushroom from various angles, trying to capture its natural beauty.
