I took these photos on my way back from running errands at work.
On the way back, I saw a thick, brown column of smoke on the road. I didn't really know what it was until we got closer. It was amazing what we saw. The whole area on the side of the road was on fire. We were driving through the smoke. It's sad that the relevant authorities are not taking charge of this situation. If this is happening now, when the drought is still a long way off, I can't imagine what will happen later.

Tomé estas fotos cuando regresaba de hacer recados en el trabajo.
En el camino de regreso, vi una columna de humo marrón y espeso en la carretera. No sabía muy bien qué era hasta que nos acercamos. Fue increíble lo que vimos. Toda la zona al costado de la carretera estaba en llamas. Estábamos conduciendo entre el humo. Es triste que las autoridades competentes no se hagan cargo de esta situación. Si esto está sucediendo ahora, cuando aún falta mucho para que llegue la sequía, no puedo imaginar lo que sucederá más adelante.
