2024: San Rem Gems

in voilk •  3 months ago

    Hi hivers 😊

We had an amazing weekend in the north during our team building. San Remegio Cebu has been our place to gather for the needed break slash meeting because the boss has an inn there which is the Henz Place. It is located few steps away from the longest stretch of shoreline that San Rem is known for. The best for a jogging and walking place early in the morning.

    The afternoon

Imagine to set here every sunset time with a cup of coffee in hand. A stroll with your dogs maybe. A walk with good companion too with some slow talks. That was calming, appreciating the sky and being absorbed by the the summery vibes.

    The mornings

Before the sunrise came, the pink sky appeared just as sea water revealed its artworks by the sand. The slow backing of the water creates a pattern, I was full of wonder how it draws on the sand. The find white sand reveals how patient and consistent the force of how the water backs off from the shore.

The shore give to the soul who is longing for serenity. It could offer healing if you allow and embrace the colors that it offers. Opening the hearts as wide as the shore and let those aches begone.

    The people

We witness the parade here for the basketball league. The fiesta is coming soon. The kids with there jerseys looks neat. They were having fun even if the sun was harsh. I was glad that this community is very active in sports. Most of the Barangay was participating as the parade was long.

    The Neighborhood

We were lucky to have @natz04 who is a local here. We were invited to there house and offered to bring some farm produce. We got lots of bananas and buko to enjoy and bring some to the city as pasalubong of gift.

We were grateful for the fresh harvested bananas that were so huge we shared it together. San Remegio is a beach place and also near with farmlands. How convenient it is, they surely have always get the fresh fishes and product from the lands.

The flower blooms also this time. The bougainvillea likes the sun. The bees feasted the other flowering flowering trees nearby too. We had so much fun as I had the pretty model game to what I loved to do, taking photos with the beauty of San Remegio as what I saw and experienced. I liked how the photo of this lady with the bougainvillea. It made her smile even more charming. She was having her milk tea at that time as I called her to pose, got her the uranda like heardress. It was a portrait that is worthy to be frame..

    The Food

I didn't have the chance to take photo of the vendor who sells fresh sea shells. I was not able to go to their market for a stroll and see what it offers. But here on our dining table we could prepare scrambled eggs, hotdogs, grilled pork or fish which my colleagues bought from there. You can cook what you like her at Henz Place since they will provide butane gas stove and they also have a grilling place. They will also provide the cooking utensils.

We had an early morning stroll to the crossing looking for fresh bread, it didn't failed us. The bakeries open so early and have their hot bread. We were also eager to buy the puto or rice cake near the bakeries. It is the place for most of the early birds. Some guys were having there painit beside the the street. Hot choco or coffee with the rice cake or the pandesal,as they welcomed the morning for another busy day perhaps.

We leave the place with sunshine and hopes. It was quiet a break for a crowded city life. Here it was peaceful and relax, at least as a tourist, that is how I felt the place was. It was about three to four hours travel from Lapulapu City to there. I definitely will come back.

Bye San Rem, see you another time.
