Hi everyone, I'm Lorentm, and today I want to share with you one of my latest projects, a character I created that has taken me on a fascinating journey of creative exploration. Let me introduce you to Noctis, my teenage, badass version of Superman.
In a parallel universe, where the line between light and shadow is blurred, Noctis emerges. This young man, once a symbol of hope and justice, has fallen prey to his own powers. His heart, which used to shine with the purity of the sun, now beats to the beat of darkness.
Noctis flies through the night skies with his hair of enigmatic tones and eyes that sparkle with an eerie glow. His red cape, waving like a flag of rebellion, and the 'S' logo on his chest, transformed into a symbol of defiance, mark his presence. What drove him into this abyss? What secrets are hidden behind his piercing gaze?
The citizens of Metropolis, who once found comfort in his presence, now fear him. Legends speak of his alliance with shadowy creatures and his ability to manipulate energy. Is Noctis a villain or an anti-hero? Only he alone knows the answer, and his silence is as unsettling as his sinister smile.
Rumors run through the streets of the city. Buildings tremble under his wrath and traditional heroes struggle to stop him. But Noctis is no ordinary enemy; he is a distorted reflection of what might have been. What brought him to this point of no return? What tragedy so marked him?
In the shadows, a masked figure watches. He knows the truth behind Noctis and seeks to redeem him. Can he save the evil teenager or will he be consumed by his own darkness?

Process / Proceso
Creating Noctis, my teenage and evil version of Superman, has been a creative journey as challenging as it has been rewarding. I want to share with you the process I followed to bring this dark character to life through digital art.
It all starts with an initial sketch. At this stage, I focus on capturing the essence of the character, his proportions and posture. I draw loose, quick lines, exploring different poses until I find the one that best represents Noctis. I want his pose to convey his complexity: a mix of power and rebellion, with a touch of mystery. It is here where I begin to glimpse his hair in enigmatic tones and the red cape billowing dramatically.
Once satisfied with the sketch, I move on to outlining. Here, I use more defined and precise strokes to shape Noctis. I make sure that each line brings out his character: from the details of his black suit with metallic accents to the transformation of the iconic 'S' logo on his chest. It's a painstaking process, where every line counts to emphasize her intimidating presence and dark nature.
The next step is coloring. I choose a color palette that reflects his essence: dark, somber tones, with touches of purple and pink in his hair, adding an air of mystery and rebellion. The red cape stands out vividly against the dark background, while the black suit with metallic accents hints at his power and strength. Here, the goal is for the colors to work together to bring Noctis to life, emphasizing both his youth and his dangerousness.
After coloring, I apply shadows and glows to add depth and volume to the drawing. I use deep shadows to accentuate the areas that are away from the light, creating a dramatic contrast that enhances her dark character. The shimmers are strategically placed to highlight areas where the light hits directly, such as the edges of her costume and her cape. This play of light and shadow is crucial in giving Noctis a three-dimensional and realistic look, making him appear as if he is about to step out of the canvas.
Each of these steps is critical to building the final image of Noctis. From the initial sketch to the final touches of shadow and glow, each phase of the process helps to capture the complexity and appeal of this character. Todo comienza con un boceto inicial. En esta etapa, me enfoco en capturar la esencia del personaje, sus proporciones y su postura. Dibujo líneas sueltas y rápidas, explorando diferentes poses hasta encontrar la que mejor represente a Noctis. Quiero que su postura transmita su complejidad: una mezcla de poder y rebeldía, con un toque de misterio. Me aseguro de que cada línea resalte su carácter: desde los detalles de su traje negro con acentos metálicos hasta la transformación del icónico logotipo 'S' en su pecho. Es un proceso minucioso, donde cada línea cuenta para enfatizar su presencia intimidante y su naturaleza oscura.
El siguiente paso es el coloreado. Elijo una paleta de colores que refleje su esencia: tonos oscuros y sombríos, con toques de púrpura y rosa en su cabello, que añaden un aire de misterio y rebeldía. La capa roja destaca vivamente contra el fondo oscuro, mientras que el traje negro con acentos metálicos insinúa su poder y fuerza. Aquí, el objetivo es que los colores trabajen juntos para darle vida a Noctis, enfatizando tanto su juventud como su peligrosidad.
Después del coloreado, aplico sombras y brillos para añadir profundidad y volumen al dibujo. Uso sombras profundas para acentuar las áreas que están alejadas de la luz, creando un contraste dramático que realza su carácter oscuro.
