In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Also, I will include the statistics I collect daily from Rising Star to keep you informed.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: The Notorious B.I.G: Juicy.
Still Dreaming: Nas & Kanye West
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Still Dreaming of the artists Nas, Kanye West and Chrisette Michele. Today I'll be talking about an artist perhaps not so well known worldwide, but if anyone who frequents the hip-hop genre could recognize him, this is: Nas. I had the opportunity to listen to him for the first time, just three years ago, when looking for hip-hop songs in a playlist, I found one of his songs that I loved: “The Message”, which I ended up loving, becoming one of my favorite artists of the genre.
Nas was born in New York in 1973, he became a very important rapper when his career took off in 1994 thanks to his album Illmatic, which became one of the best rap albums. Kanye West, born in 1977, is a rapper who became famous in 2000 thanks to his album The College Dropout. In 2006, on the release of Nas' album “Hip Hop is Dead”, the two artists collaborated on a song called Still Dreaming.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
