Quite a change in the weather with thunder and lightning. Some heavy rain showers about, but few and far between. The wind was gusty, though, making it feel quite cold.
I spotted a tree today that I have passed many times before but noticed something that looked like an old engraving. The marks have spread as the tree has grown. Part of the engraving has been overgrown with moss, but I think it reads as follows:

DAN'
What do you think?
It has to be old judging by way the cuts have spread out!
An interesting find. Another thing is the height above ground. As the tree has grown, the engraving would rise up too.
