Today I invite you to accompany me on a graphic walk to get to know through images another of the small villages in the interior of Portugal, the quiet town of Mangualde.

This is how this colourful and peaceful town welcomed us, with a cloudy sky, but as the minutes went by, the greyness and the clouds came away to give us bright, intense blues in the middle of the day.

Our tour began in the centre of the village, where we marvelled at the medieval architecture with these small buildings or multi-storey houses with large windows, straight out of a fairytale postcard, reminding me of a sort of mixture of French and German village mansions or vineyards. What does it remind you of?
Almost all of these buildings are occupied by official national and local government bodies, one or two of which are used as a café or bakery.

A couple of streets later, as we approach a residential area, we see buildings with more contemporary architecture.
