Good morning, good afternoon and good evening friends of the Panal in the community of @reflexiones I hope you are having a great weekend, today I come to talk about my reflections about my job changes.
After the pandemic I decided to venture into the world of sales because, since college I had dedicated myself to education and the truth is that little by little I stopped liking it and it did not allow me many options for vacation or a better life.
In this sense, I had the opportunity to work as a salesman where I am based, in Antofagasta Chile and I started selling hardware items and the truth is that I liked working in that area, but the company demanded more than what I gave, so I changed to sell security systems and there I learned many things about sales, it was really like a school for me. However, this company limited me a lot and lacked a bigger vision, so I got tired of working there and now I found something better.
I have been a real estate agent since the end of February, but I never thought I would like this job so much, and now I will tell you why.
In the world of sales, the cold and heartless side of this profession has always been highlighted. It is believed that the seller is a robot with the sole purpose of making money at all costs and without scruples. Although I must admit that I have met people like that, especially in my last job. But, beyond judging some of my former colleagues for some of their attitudes, I choose to understand them because I realized that in that company there is little human sensitivity and quality of service. However, I consider that there must be a degree of responsibility in each professional and each one chooses how to perform their work.
In my case I prefer something more meaningful and fruitful, which led me to become a real estate consultant where I feel more comfortable. Since I am in this profession the contacts I make are more powerful, I enjoy more to establish a professional relationship with clients and I have better projections of my future, but what I like the most is that I can develop better ethics in this area compared to my previous job, because now everything is much clearer and transparent. On the other hand, I feel that I am really helping people, which gives me a lot of satisfaction and as a personal note, when I visit some well located property, I can enjoy a very nice view of the city, which I could never do in my previous job.
Last year, I made a promise and it was that in this 2024 I would be unbeatable and I am sure that the situations are happening to make it so. I have grown personally and professionally, I have discipline, ambition and now I must put into practice my plans to achieve the goals and dreams that for years have haunted my head, hopefully I will continue to improve because I know I can give more of myself.
I hope that later, maybe in two or three months I will tell you how everything is going and update you on my progress.
