Today I am alone at home and those days when my children were running around all day without stopping are over, life is about burning stages when they were little I used to tell them they are going to erase my name because they call me so much I didn't think I was going to miss it my nieces came home I spent some time with them I realized that I don't have the same strength or they are recharged.

After my nieces left, silence returned in the house and I remembered that I have almost two months since I made a resolution not to complain about so many things that happen, many times I have felt like ranting when I am about to fail, I remember my resolution for this year and it goes away.

It is a lot what I have achieved in these almost two months people complain about everything I did too maybe not complaining does not solve anything the problem but emotionally I feel calmer.

I asked my daughter what her life goals were if the answer was a good job, a nice house and the car of the year.

My daughter wants things that she thinks make her happy, but not her environment or the rest of the people, do you think my daughter is a little selfish? I think that is the thinking of all human beings.

Do you think my daughter is only interested in material possessions and what gives her pleasure? The moment that pleasure and obtaining material goods is our only purpose in life, it ceases to be gratifying.

What is more important than happiness?

It is not wrong to wish to have a financially stable life, all needs met, to be emotionally stable, the lack of it destabilizes the purposes of life.

Frustration and disappointment

My daughter is right in a way we have to recognize and accept that in the constant search to obtain goals even if they are noble you can feel frustration. I have seen parents do their best to bring up their children and lose them due to illness or accidents.

Is it worth the effort?

The conclusion that my daughter and I have come to is to make a resolution like mine to not complain when you don't complain you see the situation from a different perspective.

From time to time we have to ask ourselves why we are in this world, what is our purpose, no matter how difficult life may be, it has a meaning that we have to find out even if our whole life is going away.
