The squirrels are back for another #squirrelsunday
This squirrels is at the bottom of the hierarchy scrounging for scraps on the ground that are dropped from high above.
Eww by the time these scraps fall down here they are nibbled on by numerous other squirrels and most of it is rotten.
I really need to climb higher up on the economic stratum. Perhaps I will talk to a conniving possum to figure out how to get rich.
The squirrels on the ground at least have soft grass to hop around in while they dodge hawk attacks.
The squirrels in the middle of the tree have it a bit better. They have plenty of lounging branches and can get to fresh walnuts before they go rotten.
But they are constantly clinging to the sides of the trees and getting chased down to the middle of the tree by the next squirrel above them.
I better talk to the greed racoons to see if they will open up a gap for me on top of the tree. Otherwise I will be stuck here in the middle forever.
Meanwhile the city squirrel has figured out a way past the tree climbing rat race. Instead he will compete against rats for riches in the human trash cans.
There are even fancy wires to climb on in the city if he doesn't want to deal with rats for a while. Hawks rarely attack here on the telephone wires either. Also if he listens very carefully he can hear stock tips running through the wires and might even get rich in the human world... No more of this walnut acorn stuff, this guy will buy pecans and cashews with his human stock money.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
