There’s something about a misty canal that feels like walking through the pages of a moody novel. Today, the sun clocked out early—okay, let’s be honest, it didn’t show up at all—but that didn’t stop me from hitting the path after work.
At 4pm, with just 35 minutes until sunset, I laced up for a 5km walk. Sure, it wasn’t a postcard-perfect scene of golden skies and dramatic lighting, but there’s a unique beauty in foggy stillness. The water doubled as a mirror, reflecting bare trees and even the occasional string of holiday lights on a docked boat.
Moments like these remind me why consistency matters. Whether the weather serves you brilliance or just a soft, gray mood, the goal is simple: keep moving. The steps count, and so does the scenery. Who needs the sun when the mist tells its own story?
