Pantone's color of the year is Mocha Mousse which inspired me to create this chocolate look.
I have been quite sick by the end of last year and the beginning of this year so I want to come up with a strong vibe. Haha. Though I was envisioning it would look like mocha but it looked more like a chocolate so I'll just keep it that way.
I decided to use my newer palettes even though I have some eyeshadows that look warmer cos why not. :P I'm using Girlcult eyeshadow palette in #52 Fire. The brown looks like a perfect transition color to what I was imagining
Then I'm using this shade from Natasha Denona Retro eyeshadow palette to use as the main color. I blended it so it would look smokey.
Then this shade for the shimmer. :D I applied the shimmer only outside the crease to form that nice line.
Then applying Judydoll blush in #48.
Lastly, I used Kaleidos Cloud Lab lip clay in Cold Smoke on my lips. It's such a nice color on me and it's just a balanced amount of brown. Usually, browns would look orange on me so I don't really trust a lot of "brown" shades out there unless it looks on the cold side. :D
I also used Kaleidos Space Age highlighter in Ray Rider on the high points of my face to complete the look.
And that's it! Choco it is. I think the color is nice and pretty sure we'll see a lot of similar stuff/trend related to the color although I think creative makeup is coming back to trend again. There were a bunch of grungy trend last year too and I think that was just the beginning of the 2016 makeup era again haha. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I want to do with my makeup this year anyway.
