Delicious and Practical Main Dish Recipes

    Hello dear friends. I want to share some of my favorite main dish recipes with you. These are the recipes I made for our guests yesterday and I thought I would share them with you as well. These are recipes that my family loves and I often prepare. I hope this post will be helpful to you and you may want to try them out.

    My first recipe is baked mackerel. The ingredients you will need are: mackerel fillets, vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, paprika and garlic.

    Baked Mackerel
    Ingredients:

    • 1 kg mackerel (2 pieces/4 fillets)
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • Black pepper (to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil + extra for greasing

    Preparation:
    First prepare the marinade. Add salt, paprika, black pepper and crushed garlic to the oil, then mix well. Add the fish and mix again, letting it marinate for at least one hour.

    Next place the fish on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, skin side up. Lightly grease the skin, sprinkle with salt and pepper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10-12 minutes on the top rack. This results in a beautiful, juicy and crispy fish. It pairs wonderfully with rocket and mashed potatoes and I highly recommend you try it.

    My next recipe is bacon-wrapped chicken thighs. Ingredients: chicken thighs (skin removed), bacon, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder and mayonnaise.

    Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Thighs
    Ingredients:

    • Firm bacon
    • Chicken thighs
    • Salt
    • Sweet paprika
    • Black pepper mix
    • Garlic powder
    • Optional spices
    • Mayonnaise

    Preparation:
    Add the spices to the chicken thighs, then wrap each thigh with two slices of bacon. Spread mayonnaise on top of the bacon.

    Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for about an hour. Ten minutes before the end of cooking, brush the thighs with their own juices and fat. It pairs excellently with basmati rice and pickles. I strongly suggest you try it.

    Now, let me share my carbonara recipe. Ingredients: spaghetti, parmesan cheese, garlic, bacon, cream, egg yolks, salt, black pepper and herbs for garnish.

    Carbonara
    Ingredients:

    • Spaghetti
    • 4 egg yolks
    • Parmesan cheese (same quantity as the egg yolks)
    • Bacon
    • 200 ml 20% cream
    • Garlic
    • Salt, black pepper

    Preparation:
    Cut the bacon and fry it, then add coarsely chopped garlic. Once the garlic is cooked, remove it and start boiling the spaghetti in salted water.

    In the meantime prepare the sauce by mixing the egg yolks, parmesan and cream. Add the boiled spaghetti to the bacon and heat it for about 2 minutes while mixing. Then add the sauce and stir well to combine. Quickly mix everything and serve.

    I think no one can refuse a serving of carbonara. it’s a delicious dish. Now, let’s move on to the chicken meatballs recipe. I always make them using chicken thigh fillets. Other ingredients include flour, sour cream or mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, cheese, garlic and eggs.

    Chicken Meatballs
    Ingredients:

    • Chicken thigh fillet
    • Garlic
    • Egg
    • Cheese
    • Mayonnaise / Sour cream
    • Flour
    • Salt, black pepper, optional spices

    Preparation:
    Chop the chicken thigh and cut it into small pieces by hand. Then, add all the other ingredients and mix well. The meatball mixture is ready.

    Heat some oil in a pan and using a spoon, form the meatballs and fry them on medium heat until they are cooked through.

    My next recipe is Lagman. Ingredients include beef, Chinese cabbage, celery, onion, garlic, bell peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, potato starch, soy sauce, eggs, salt, sugar, black pepper, paprika and lagman noodles.

    Lagman

    Ingredients:

    • 500g beef
    • Lagman noodles
    • 1 egg
    • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons potato starch
    • 4 tablespoons water
    • 1 onion
    • 25g celery
    • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 150g Chinese cabbage
    • 2 tomatoes
    • 2 sweet bell peppers
    • 3 garlic cloves
    • 200 ml water
    • Black pepper, red pepper, salt

    Preparation:
    First, marinate the meat. Slice the beef thinly, then add salt, black pepper, beaten egg, starch, soy sauce and water. Mix everything well and let it marinate for at least one hour.

    Meanwhile chop the vegetables: cabbage, celery, onion, garlic, peppers and tomatoes and set them aside.

    Lagman can sometimes be made as a soup or cooked dry with just the meat. As with many dishes, there are different ways to make Lagman. I tried this recipe from my friend and it turned out to be really delicious.

    Once the meat is marinated, stir-fry it on high heat for 10 minutes. Then add the chopped onion, celery, salt, sugar and tomato paste and continue frying for another 10 minutes. In the meantime, cook the noodles. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.

    Once the noodles are done, add the chopped vegetables to the meat mixture and cook for about 10 more minutes. Then add 200 ml of hot water and the spices and stir everything together. Let it simmer on low heat for a while.

    Place the noodles on plates and top them with the meat and vegetable mixture.
