Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

However, on the 26th one, I have decided that it is big enough to call this series a Library!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.

So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:

    Blood Angels, Lemartes

    10th Edition Index Cards

Breaking the Chaos results up is the Blood Angels Epic Hero Lemartes.

As a named character, this guy has a lot of lore and special abilities unique to him.

Lemartes is a Chaplain and the Guardian of the Lost, this means that he cares for and leads those Blood Angels lost to the Black Rage that is part of their gene-curse. Afflicted by the Black Rage himself, his iron will allows him to act logically despite this and lead his brethren.

At 110pts, he can lead a unit of Death Company Marines with Jump Packs.

    Stats

His base stats are the same as any Space Marine Chaplain with Jump Pack.

    Move 12", Toughness 4, 4 Wounds. 3+/4++ Saves. With a hefty Leadership 5+

    Weapons

Lemartes is armed with the very basic bolt pistol, they could really have given him something better.

Meanwhile, his Blood Crozius is more powerful than what regular Chaplains wield.

    5 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, Lethal Hits on a 6+, Strength 6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.

Lethal hits means that he can wound most things!

    Abilities

    Abilities is where he shines.

Because of the Jump Pack he and the squad he is with can Deep Strike on to the battlefield.
He also has a 6+ Feel No Pain once he takes damage. (Same as the Death Company he leads)

    • Guardian of the Lost
While leading a unit, all damage coming in is done at -1 Damage.

This is great since Damage 2 weapons should be able to kill a Death Company Marine with one failed amour save and failing either wound's 6+ FNP, but with Lemartes leading, a Powerfist would go to D1 and then you can still roll for a Feel No Pain.

    • Fury Unbound
While leading a unit, all melee weapons gain the Lethal Hits rule!

This is great since Death Company are well known for Power Weapons and Power Fists in the unit, WITH Lethal hits would make a great combo!

    Thank you for reading!
