Holozing Battle Fan-art: Grass-type vs Fire-type Dragons!

in voilk •  4 days ago

After discarding a few sketches, I finally landed on one I wanted to complete—lol! Sometimes, starting is the hardest part for me. But once I’m happy with the conceptual sketch, I find the motivation to pursue and finish the artwork.

Today’s Holozing fan art features two dragons launched back in August of this year: the Grass-type and the Fire-type dragons!

There aren’t any details about these creatures yet, so I just imagined what a battle between them might look like—lol. For fun, I decided to depict the Grass-type as the aggressive one and the Fire-type as the timid creature. It’s a bit ironic, but who knows, right?

There are times when we can’t judge someone—or, in this case, creatures—based solely on appearances. Things may turn out to be quite different from what we expect. This is especially true in the Holozing game, where creatures of the same species can vary significantly. A creature’s rarity, for instance, can give it an edge over others.

Let me show you how I created my artwork for today

I used a preset brush to simulate the leaves of the trees and added a variety of colors to give them depth. At first, I was unsure about the technique or method for using this preset brush, but after a few attempts, I managed to make it look decent. I plan to keep practicing to create a more natural-looking effect with this brush.
