You know, at first glance, I was like, Of course, I stream everything but then I thought about it again, and nahhh, I actually do a mix of both.

Let’s start with music because, honestly, that’s a big part of my life. I have my go-to playlists on Spotify that I stream daily, but you see, there’s this thing called Nigerian network wahala that will always find creative ways to humble you.

That’s why I make sure to download my top-tier songs. The ones that have no business unloadable due to network when I need them the most. Because imagine I’m in my feelings, karaoking to Giveon's, "Heartbreak Anniversary" and suddenly, silence. Nah, I can’t allow that.

Now, movies and series? This one depends. If it’s Netflix, I’m mostly streaming because I’m a chronic binge-watcher. I want that immediate satisfaction of just clicking and watching. But if I’m traveling? Oh, I’m definitely downloading. I’m not about to rely on hotel WiFi or mobile data on the road. Also, I love watching stuff late at night, and my network loves to play hide and seek when it’s past midnight, so having movies downloaded just makes sense.

Gaming? Heiii, I don’t game like that, but I know my brother will rather play live and online, because how else will he yell at his friend to guard his left?

Back to me. I feel like my streaming vs. downloading decision is purely based on convenience and survival. If I know I might not have access to good internet, I download. If I have WiFi and I’m in a “let’s live in the moment” mood, I stream. It’s a perfect balance for me.

So yeah, I mix both. I need the flexibility, because life is unpredictable and Nigerian internet will ALWAYS humble you.
