A warm greeting to the entire #Music community. I wish you a Merry Christmas, a time of reflection, of enjoying family unity and of personal improvement. I am pleased to share my interpretation on the trumpet of “Happy Xmas (War is Over)”, a rock song composed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It is interesting how a protest song has become a Christmas anthem. This piece of music was written in the context of the Vietnam War. We all know that Christmas is a time of joy and peace, and that we all aspire to a world without conflict. Currently there are about 56 wars spanning about 92 countries. Probably, many people do not know this, and this contrasts with many places where prosperity, peace and joy abound. The lyrics are a call for peace, unity and hope. Although total peace may be utopian, I hope that we evolve and understand that the world needs more love and reconciliation.

Un cordial saludo a toda la comunidad de #Music. Les deseo una Feliz Navidad, que sea un momento de reflexión, de disfrutar de la unidad familiar y de superación personal. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Happy Xmas (War is Over)», una canción de género rock compuesta por John Lennon y Yoko Ono. Es interesante como una canción de protesta se ha convertido en un himno navideño. Esta pieza musical fue escrita enmarcada en la guerra de Vietnam. Todos sabemos que la Navidad es un tiempo de alegría y de paz, y que todos aspiramos a un mundo sin conflictos. Actualmente existen unas 56 guerras que abarcan unos 92 países. Probablemente, muchas personas no lo sepan, y esto contrasta con muchos lugares donde abunda la prosperidad, la paz y la alegría. La letra es un llamado a la paz, la unidad y la esperanza. Aunque la paz total puede ser utópica, espero que evolucionemos y entendamos que el mundo necesita más amor, y reconciliación.
Both abundance and scarcity can divert our attention from what is truly important. On the one hand, excess resources can distract us, making us value essential things less and focus on superficial aspects. In some cases, it can even generate fears of losing everything, making it difficult to face situations of loss or scarcity. On the other hand, scarcity can lead us to obsessively focus on what we lack, generating stress, depression and a short-term vision that prevents us from identifying opportunities. I believe that an attitude of gratitude is essential to maintain focus on what really matters, regardless of our situation. In addition, it is essential to seek balance and develop resilience to face the challenges that life presents us. I wish you a Merry Christmas full of joy, unity and love with your loved ones.

Tanto la abundancia como la escasez pueden desviar nuestra atención de lo verdaderamente importante. Por un lado, el exceso de recursos puede distraernos, hacer que valoremos menos las cosas esenciales y nos enfoquemos en aspectos superficiales. En algunos casos, incluso puede generar temores a perderlo todo, haciendo difícil enfrentar situaciones de pérdida o escasez.
