It's a saying: If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain!
What does this mean?
I understand that if something doesn't happen at our command, request, or desire, it will still come to pass if we act in a way that sets aside doubt or pride. It's a guarantee that even the least likely things will happen eventually.
"I hope @ewkaw hasn't already rejected my post for being in the wrong community, because it's not..."
I love mushrooms, both their appearance and their taste. I even cook mushrooms with some success, if I can trust the opinions of those who’ve eaten them... and survived! (Just kidding, I’ve only cooked mushrooms from reliable sources.)
It's just that I live in the city and don't grow mushrooms on my street, or any of the other streets either. I can't pick them up, I have no place to do that, maybe just from the supermarket. I would have loved to go on a mushroom-picking adventure in the woods, especially to photograph poisonous mushrooms, which I know are the most beautiful and appealing!
Coming back to what was said earlier, I can prove that sometimes the mountain comes to Muhammad, if certain conditions are met: in this case, I would have to be Muhammad, and the mountain would have to be some mushrooms!
My wife is the enemy of the fallen leaves from the trees in the garden in autumn. Make me gather them and take them to the trash.
I saw the mountain... no, the mushrooms.
Mushrooms in my garden. Unbelievable!
It wasn't just one, I found an entire family.
I don't know what kind of mushrooms these are, I'm not good at all with them. Maybe @ewkaw and @andyjaypowell can help me out since they know mushrooms well.
I think they’re edible because they have a pretty tough texture, they don’t turn black when you break them, and they don’t have any bright colors.
Anyway, I’m not brave enough to cook or try them, so I’ll just let them live out their whole life in my garden. Especially since they have kids to raise!
Of course, I could use Google Lens, but I'm afraid I'd be disappointed. I'd rather enjoy the moment and keep looking at the mushrooms; I know their life isn't long.
I think I found the answer: what kind of fungus is this?
I think it's the hippopotamus mushrooms!
I'm thinking of showing you where so many leaves fall from...
