Hello dear Hive Community and Holozing Fans,
I wish you all a wonderful and colorful day. Today I have something completely different in style. Yes, I've been experimenting artistically, instead of the bold line art or the finer, softer drawing and blending and my anime attempts, I really wanted to try it artistically old school.
Some people might find it too simple a motif, but even in simplicity lies concentration, patience and time. After all, I worked on it for several hours.
I wanted the painterly style. A bit classic. That's why I chose various types of brushes, be it water brushes, watercolor, spray tools, sketch pens, felt-tip pens, .... and much more.
I chose “Noxic” as a female character, as I already had a male version. I also wanted to paint a silhouette of her. The focus should not be on the face as always and this time not on the unusual posture and position, but on the overall picture and the experimental style and technique.
I also wanted the rear view of my version to represent a transformation and a turning towards the unknown. Okay, I'll explain. My character is standing with his back to the viewer, which is supposed to show that he is letting go of what is known and turning to the wide horizon to consider the still unknown possibilities.
I have drawn the landscape artistically, blurred, as it is still unclear what will reveal itself to Noxic.
The butterfly seemed to me to be perfect for this, because it also has to pupate as a caterpillar before it becomes a colorful butterfly. In my opinion, Noxic represents the transformation itself in a wonderful way!
But enough rambling now. Here is my drawing process.

Einen wunderschönen und kunterbunten Tag wünsche ich euch allen. Heute habe ich mal was ganz anderes vom Stil. Jaja, ich habe künstlerisch rumprobiert, statt der fetten Line art oder dem feiner, weicher zeichnen und blenden und meinen Anime Versuchen, wollte ich es wahrhmal künstlerisch bisl alte Schule probieren.
Manch einer empfindet es eventuell als zu einfaches Motiv, doch selbst in der Einfachheit liegt Konzentration, Geduld und Zeit. Immerhin habe ich daran einige Stunden gearbeitet.
Ich wollte den malerischen Stil. Bisl klassisch. Daher wählte ich diverse Pinselarten, sei es Wasserpinsel, Aquarell, Spray tools, Sketchstifte, Filsstifte,.... und vieles mehr.
Ich wählte als Charakter Motiv "Noxic" als weibliches Wesen, da ich eine männliche Variante schonmal hatte. Auch wollte ich eine Silhouettengestalt von ihr malen. Im Fokus sollte nicht wie immer das Gesicht sein und diesmal auch nicht die ausgefallene Körperhaltung und Position, sondern das Gesamtbild und die experimentelle Art, Technik.
Auch wollte ich mit der Rückansicht von meiner Variante eine Transformation und Zuwendung des Unbekannten darstellen. Waaas? Okay, ich erkläre es. Mein Charakter steht mit dem Rücken zum Betrachter, was zeigen soll, dass dieser los lässt von dem, was bekannt ist und sich den weiten den Horizontes zuwendet, um die noch unbekannten Möglichkeiten in Betracht zu ziehen.
Die Landschaft habe ich künstlerisch, verschwommen gezeichnet, da noch unklar ist, was sich Noxic offenbart.
Der Schmetterling schien mir wie geschaffen dafür, weil auch dieser sich als Raupe ersreinmal verpuppen muss, bis dieser ein farbenprächtiger Schmetterling wird. Meiner Meinung nach, repräsentiert Noxic auf wunderbare Art und Weise die Transformation an sich!
Aber nun genug rumgeschwafelt. Hier mein Zeichenprozess.
First sketching lines of the female silhouette.
More details like the butterflies wings and so on.
Bringing darkness into it... Lol.
Added black and gray as basic shades.
Already used 5 layers to avoid upcoming mistakes or mind changing thoughts.
Let's bring color into it.
Started with the basic colors of the background because it was the simplest one.
After I concentrated on my female Noxic variation.
Was lost by drawing... But was fun to color it up.
Now it gets freaky abstract... 😅😂 See how many layers I have used for the different effects.
Last brushes, fine painting and steps are coming.
