Visit to Noale and my cousin that I had not seen since 2019

Recently as I told you, I took a trip to Venice. But to get to Venice, I went through Milan and Verona, hehe. Flight offers, friends who were around, and my final destination, Venice.

But... very close to Venice, there was a cousin I am very fond of and I had seen her for the last time in 2019. For me she is my cousin and for her I am her niece, hehe. The truth is that our mothers are first cousins.

She is Valencian, born there, in Valencia, but she has gone to live in Italy and when I realized how close she would be, I asked her if she felt like getting together for a little while. Of course she said yes.

Visita a Noale y a mi prima que no veía desde 2019

Italia y sus bellos pueblos.

Recientemente como les comenté, me pegué una escapada a Venecia. Pero para llegar a Venecia, pasé por Milano y por Verona, jeje. Ofertas de vuelos, amigos que andaban por ahí, y mi destino final, Venecia.

Pero… muy cerquita de Venecia, se encontraba una prima a la que aprecio mucho y que la había visto por última vez en 2019. Para mi ella es mi prima y para ella soy su sobrina, jeje. Lo cierto es que nuestras madres son primas hermanas.

Ella es valenciana, nacida allí, en Valencia, pero se ha ido a vivir a Italia y cuando me di cuenta de lo cerca que estaría, le pregunté si tenía ganas de que nos reuniéramos un ratito. Claro que me dijo que sí.

For this reason, one evening in Venice, where the night had already arrived, at about 17:00, I took a train to Noale, where I would meet Laura and Giuseppe, her boyfriend.

In the end we only met for a couple of hours, as I had to return to Venice at 20:00 because the last train was leaving around 21:00 and I didn't want to risk missing it. However, it was worth the trip, as I really wanted to see someone from my family.

Por este motivo una tarde de Venecia en donde la noche ya había arribado, a eso de las 17:00, me tomé un tren rumbo a Noale, donde me encontraría con Laura y Giuseppe, su novio.

Al final nos vimos solo por un par de horas, pues yo tenía que regresar a Venecia a las 20:00 porque el último tren salía sobre las 21:00 y no quería arriesgarme a perderlo. Sin embargo, valió el viaje, pues tenía muchas ganas de ver a alguien de mi familia.

While waiting for the guys to get off work, I walked around Noale a bit and took some pictures in the early evening, when the sky was my favorite color.

Noale is very very small. It is really a village, but it sure is picturesque, like most of these nooks and crannies that Italy has.

Mientras esperaba a los chicos que salían de su trabajo, caminé un poquito por Noale y aproveché para tomar unas fotos en los primeros momentos de la noche, cuando el cielo estaba de mi color preferido.

Noale es muy per muy pequeño. Es realmente un pueblo, pero sí que es pintoresco, como la mayoría de estos recovecos que tiene Italia.

The train station is extremely small and Noale's architecture is dominated by bricks and arches.

I think that in 10 minutes I walked the two main streets of the town, hehe, you can tell that it is a mainly residential area and there were only a few cafes, of which I saw only two open.

Something that caught my attention was that there was free WiFi network, but only in these two roads that cross the town and where the services offered by Noale are concentrated.

La estación de tren es sumamente pequeña y en la arquitectura de Noale predominan los ladrillos y los arcos.

Creo que en 10 minutos caminé las dos calles principales del pueblo, jeje, se nota que es una zona principalmente residencial y tan solo habían algunas cafeterías, de las cuales vi sólo dos abiertas.

Algo que me llamó la atención fue que había red de WiFi gratuita, pero únicamente en estas dos vías que atraviesan el pueblo y donde se concentran los servicios que ofrece Noale.

Regarding my cousin, she thought I would sleep at her place, but the truth is that I had left everything, including my passport, at the hostel in Venice, so I was not planning to stay anywhere far from my belongings.

I think that bothered him a little, because they left work, went to Noale, put me in the car and on the way I told him that I could not stay overnight, but well...
We had a nice time anyway and ended up having a coffee in a place that was in the middle of the road, where there were some cafes and restaurants.

We talked about life, especially about work and the labor differences between Spain and Italy.

Then I was taken to the station and returned to Venice, after a long trip, as the train broke down and I had to wait for the next one at a couple of stations before Santa Lucia which was where I was getting off.

Con respecto a mi prima, ella pensaba que yo me quedaría a dormir en su casa, pero lo cierto es que yo había dejado todo, incluso el pasaporte, en el hostel en Venecia, por lo que no pensaba quedarme en ningún lugar lejos de mis pertenencias.

Creo que eso le molestó un poco, porque salieron del trabajo, fueron hasta Noale, me subieron al auto y en el camino le dije que no podía quedarme a dormir, pero bueno…

Igualmente pasamos un lindo momento y terminamos tomando un café en un sitio que había en medio del camino, en donde habían algunas cafeterías y restaurantes.

Hablamos de la vida, especialmente del trabajo y de las diferencias laborales entre España e Italia.

Luego me llevaron a la estación y regresé a Venecia, tras un largo viaje, ya que el tren se averió y tuve que esperar al siguiente en un par de estaciones antes de Santa Lucía que era donde yo bajaba.
