Hello everyone! This is my second entry for this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Today, I'm sharing a battle of mine in Modern Diamond Ranked.
I fought an interesting battle in Modern Diamond ranked. In this game, I used the Rebellion rare reward card, Continuum Seer. It's a Fire unit that costs 4 mana with magic attack. This card has very low HP, which stays at 2 regardless of the level. It also has and keeps 1 armor for all the levels, making it better against physical attacks than magic attacks. Its highest stat is speed, which increases a lot as it levels up, starting at 3 and ending at 8! It also gains Phase, at level 3, so that it can also Dodge magic attacks. In my opinion, this card is pretty bad in lower levels. I wouldn't touch it before reaching level 4, where its magic attack increases from 1 to 2. It's still not great, but it works very well with Lorkus, which not only buffs the attack but can also provide Life Leech so that its HP can increase. The final level is a very nice buff increasing the attack from 2 to 3 and the speed from 7 to 8.

Sadly, I still don't have it at the max level, but it's very close. I just need one more BCX to get there. I still had to use its level 7 version in this battle, but that just shows it can be even better when it's at full power. Its biggest counter is Magic Reflect, but fast Sneak or Opportunity units can also deal with it. I like the art, especially the hourglass and the magic effects around the character! I do wish it had something else like Slow or Swiftness because it would make the card great without being OP, and it would make sense with the hourglass in its design.

This game had the following rule sets: Keep Your Distance, Holy Protection, and Unprotected. The mana cap was 19, with only Life inactive. I picked Lorkus as my summoner and put Chaos Agent in front. I powered it up with Moxian Rebel and placed Life Sapper next. I finished the team with the Continuum Seer. They opted for Eternal Tofu, which is weird. Tofu in a match without melee units loses its most powerful tool. Furthermore, everything already has Divine Shield. They started with the Weapons Training combination of Grimbardun Smith, Moxian Rebel, and Chaos Agent. After those, they put Blackmoor Jinx and Elanor Bravefoot. Another weird thing is that they opted for the Divine Shield and Corrosive Ward Tactics, which don't do anything. Everything already had Divine Shield, which doesn't stack, and without armor, Corrosive Ward is also useless. As for my Tactics, I gave Life Leech and Affliction to Moxian Rebel and Continuum Seer.

Round 1
I dealt significant damage to Grimbardun Smith. They only missed the Smith's attack on my Agent, but that was enough for my unit to survive.

Round 2
Thanks to that Dodge, my Agent had the chance to attack during this round to finish their Smith. However, their own Agent finished mine.

Round 3
My team eliminated their Rebel and mine still survived.

Rounds 4, 5, and 6
My 2 back units didn't miss their attacks, and their Agent went down. Their last attacker was Elanor, so the game was mine. It took 2 more rounds for my team to finish the job.

Tofu is one of the best cards in the game, but players still have to pay attention when playing it. It wasn't the case for my opponent. I'm looking forward to trying out Continuum Seer a bit more, especially after I upgrade it. It should happen next season.

What do you all think about this game? Would you have done anything different? Let me know in the comments! Thank you for reading!!
