If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I love to travel, though I haven't travelled much. But their are some beautiful memories of a place, that I treasured, in the form of photos and videos. A place where I started my family, my career and fulfilled mamy of my dreams. That is in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

To be honest 25 years before, I, I went to Jeddah. It was like a deserted land for me. Hardly did I find any trees and the heat was above extreme. For the firsr few years, there was no rain which I longed to see. All these was in contrast to my country, India. During that period, my only intension was to leave the country and return to my homeland, which was quite impossible.

Moreover, jobs for ladies were limited schools and hospitals only. I started looking out for a job and finally, was placed as a school librarian in a nearby school. My daughter was admitted in a good kindergarten school. The busy schedule didnot give me much time to think over my return journey. Gradually, I got accustomed to the routine of jeddah life.

The weekends was in Corniche Beach. You can find the whole jeddawians either in beach or in malls. It was almost crowded. Days just ran, and one fine day I had to return back to my country for my kids higher education.

Now 25 years after, the country and its privileges has paved way for many. The opportunities for women are just booming in all the fields. Even driving for women are permitted. Exceptional malls and theatres are in rise. Most of the old buildings are demolished giving way to hi tech buildings.

Recently, my brother visited the country and said nothing is same as before. It has a vast change - changes for good really matters.

Now, let me revert to the question. Which place I would like to visit and definitely my answer is Jeddah. I need to see the growing city and its peoples, most of all, I would like to visit the Holy mosque.

So this was in response to the prompt. Photos captured by my brother on his recent vist to Jeddah. Once a desert, now a rising greenery environment, with rains then and there.

Thankyou for your visit dear ecencials 🙏
