We just can't seem to dry out. It was dumping yet again yesterday morning when I woke and I watched out the windows as the eaves sheeted water while I made my tea. I wasn't in a massive hurry to go out in it but still was on the road by 4:45am.
It was rather foggy with the rain for my drive to town. There was zero traffic, even less than normal, which was a bit weird but super nice. It seems the local radio stations had a change up at the new year and we are missing a couple.
I had 2 barrels to pickup which were quickly loaded into the trailer. The city at sleep is far nicer than awake, at least for my purposes.
If I were to pickup on a weekday morning there would be workers prepping for the day in the Commons but this early on a Sunday meant no one around. I was soon bombing for home as the rain continued to pound down.
By the time the sun came up the storm had moved on leaving us over a quarter inch of rain.
I headed out to empty the grain as the Man Utd match was coming on, I wasn't exactly rushing given the obvious nature of the match. I spread a bunch of the grain in the garden to keep the coating process going then dumped out the remains in the sheep pen.
It was amazingly far closer than it should have been. Utd really should have lost 4-1 but somehow managed to tie. I straight up was expecting an insane blowout but still am very much hoping and slightly expecting Utd to get relegated this season.
With the match over I headed out to the studio to get my meter calibrated. I found a tone generator online and with the meter an in h form the speaker I dialed it into the 94db at 1Khz as required. The meter is pretty sensitive and I'm looking forward to using it a bunch.
All morning and into the afternoon I was printing off gliders. They take less than 10 minutes each but I needed to end up with 25. In all it is less than 3 oz of filament used. They are all going with J today to school for his class. Figuring his teacher can come up with a good lesson using them, or he'll give them away or sell them...
I noticed the Hive price had mooned so I went to v4v.app and converted 144 to sats while it was near $.60. If the price drops back down I can just buy back Hive.
The Seahawks game was on for the afternoon but they are out of playoffs so it was a feelgood game for them. It was fairly close given LA running 2nd string. It was near the end and @stryeyz and I headed up the road to Patsy's for some drinks.
We watched them win as we walked in. After a couple drinks each we were headed back home.
The recent Actifit post rather amazed me when I found that I'm number 24 on the yearly activity list. Consistency is the key I guess.
El gato. He still lives. Slowly but alive.
I got out for a half hour soak before heading for bed.
Today I will get the boys to school, have my chiro appointment in the morning, will call about my tires, we look to have a week of no weather ahead but no wind for flying, I want to get my skis ready for earning my turns one day this week, and will test the 10-22.
