When I saw this topic, I smiled and got sad at the same time. I don't have a child, but as a health worker, I have so many suggestions on how to get your child to look healthy through the use of good food.
One thing about children is that they don't eat that much, and they don't eat as often as they should. Some children will not even look at you when you bring food along.
It's even more difficult for babies who start their lives with exclusive, the mothers struggle a lot to get them to start eating food.
Whenever you see a child not looking too good, the next you will hear is "She doesn't eat well, or She doesn't eat at all." sadly, mothers are so much affected by this situation that some will even take their child to see a doctor to confirm if the child is okay.
Tips for a child's healthy eating.
Healthy eating doesn't mean finishing a bowl of food at once, it means eating food that contains all the needed vitamins, minerals, protein, and resources that the body needs to remain healthy and grow healthy.
I personally encourage parents to have a meal plan for their children. A child's meal plan should be different from that of an adult, and that should be based on what that child loves most.
Fruit intake is vital for a child daily, I advise mothers to try out different fruits and get to know the ones the child likes most, making sure it's always available for the child to eat.
Children love snacks a lot, so I encourage mothers to prepare their snacks at home if possible to avoid feeding their children with lots of chemical preservatives, which may not be healthy.
A mother I know will always prepare her oat banana biscuits at home, and one good thing is that as the children watch her prepare it, they love to taste it, and gradually, it becomes their regular snack.
Instead of buying fruit drinks or children's juice, I advise mothers to prepare different types of fruit juice at home and make sure they are not frozen for a very long time.
Try different types of vegetables because children needs lots of vegetables to grow.
Another tip that has worked for so many parents is keeping your kids around the kitchen while cooking, children are created to be anxious in nature so that anxiousness in them makes it easier to get them eat the food, because as you cook you interact with them and make them long to enjoy the meal by what you say
Children differ so I advice mothers to take time and study your children that will help you to know how to get him eat healthy.
Some children will always need some to spoon-feed them before they get to eat while others can just grab their bowl of food and eat.
Some children are not selective when it comes to food while some you will take your time to get to know what they really want.
The challenges
No Time is the challenge that most mothers have, no time to prepare the things that will help the child look healthy, some are working-class mothers that leaves home very early and come home very late so it is not easy for them, they can only deal with what they see in the supermarket.
But to have a healthy child a mother needs to give them adequate attention, study them, and know how to manage their meals to help them remain healthy.
Make sure that any bowl of food served to a child contains the necessary vitamins for her growth and health.
