Today I am excited to share about my balcony and its transformation over time. A place that evolved from a spot for coffee to a green and colorful spot.
This is a strawberry season
Over time this transformation not only looks beautiful to us but also gives some healthy herbs like mint, and lemon grass, and some supportive leaves for cooking like spring onion, garlic, and coriander.
I used to plant flowers only earlier and once I got cold, I used to go out and search for basil, mint, and lemongrass. during that process, I realized to transform the balcony so that we can enjoy beautiful flowers and at the same time herbs and other supporting vegetables can help to make food tasty and healthy. and then the journey started. some of the plants I have brought and some saplings tried at home.
I also learned different plants need different care, some plants need extra care while others need less. watched so many videos and found simple solutions as I travel and sometimes it is hard but many times our neighbors take care of them in our absence. I learned proper watering way, when to replace soil, and time to compost.
I have 5 types of Roses, 3 plants from the Jungle, Strawberry, Tomato, Chili, grapes, coriander, Garlic, Lemon grass, Mint, cucumber, and many seasonal flowers.
Because of it in both the balcony we do have birds and their nest.
and some guest with these plants
We use green chili while cooking food
These tiny flowers are from the jungle, the great thing about it is it needs less maintenance and every day you can see flowers on it.
