I recently enjoyed a series with my mom in a unique way, as it made me feel quite good to watch it, at no time did I want to detach, every minute kept me entertained, and I want to share with you my opinion and recommendation. I invite you to read me and then watch Why Women Kill.

Recientemente disfruté de una serie con mi mamá de una manera única, pues me hizo sentir bastante bien verla, en ningún momento quería despegarme, cada minuto me mantuvo entretenido, y quiero compartirles mi opinión y recomendación. Les invito a leerme y luego ver Why Women Kill.
Synopsis
The anthology series presents in its first season the story of three women living in different times, but what unites these three women? Well, they have been betrayed and must face their morals to make a decision.
Very few times I have seen that a series can mix drama with a comedy as successfully as in this case, and perhaps this is one of its strongest hooks, and it seems to me something fresh in TV series, it is not sitcom and not a deep drama.

La serie antológica nos presenta en su primera temporada la historia de tres mujeres que viven en distintas épocas, pero ¿qué une a estas tres mujeres? Pues han sido traicionadas y deberán enfrentarse a su moral para tomar una decisión.
Muy pocas veces he visto que una serie pueda mezclar el drama con un comedia de forma tan exitosa cómo en este caso, y quizá sea uno de sus ganchos más fuertes, y me parece algo fresco en series de televisión, no es sitcom y tampoco un drama profundo.
I will only talk about the first season, because it is an anthology series, and the story presented ends in one season. In this opportunity, they bring us a first class cast to present three women who lived in different times, but in the same house. Why Women Kill " brings us Lucy Liu playing Simone Grove, the woman from the 80s, Ginnifer Goodwin as Beth Ann Stanton, the woman from the 60s, and finally Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Taylor Harding, our young woman from the 2010s.
The plot is a comedy with hints of drama, which shows us how these three women are respectively deceived, in the case of Simone Grove, who stands out as my favorite character, she learns that she lived a fake marriage because her husband was gay; We have Beth Ann, whose marriage is typical of the time, where she is submissive to her husband, until she discovers that he is unfaithful. Finally we have Taylor Harding, a bisexual lawyer with an open marriage, which opens up a conversation about infidelity in these types of relationships. What is the plot twist? That in all three cases there are murders, and you'll have to watch the series to see how this happens and who the real culprits are.
Les hablaré únicamente de la primera temporada, pues se trata de una serie antológica, y la historia presentada finaliza en una temporada. En esta oportunidad, nos traen un cast de primera a presentar a tres mujeres que vivieron en distintas épocas, pero en la misma casa. “Por qué matan las mujeres” nos trae a Lucy Liu interpretando a Simone Grove, la mujer de los 80s, Ginnifer Goodwin es Beth Ann Stanton, la mujer de los 60s, y finalmente a Kirby Howell-Baptiste como Taylor Harding, nuestra joven de los 2010s.
La trama es una comedia con tintes de drama, que nos muestra como estas tres mujeres son respectivamente engañadas, en el caso de Simone Grove, quién resalta como mi personaje favorito, se entera que vivió un matrimonio de mentira pues su esposo era gay; Tenemos a Beth Ann, cuyo matrimonio es el típico de la época, donde ella es sumisa ante su esposo, hasta que descubre que él le es infiel. Finalmente tenemos a Taylor Harding, una abogada bisexual con un matrimonio abierto, lo que abre una conversación acerca de la infidelidad en este tipo de relaciones. ¿Cuál es el giro de trama? Que en los tres casos hay asesinatos, y deberás ver la serie para ver como esto sucede y quiénes son los verdades culpables.

With a well-produced image that makes the three environments, that is, the three eras, feel very well cared for, they immerse you in the reality of the three cases and it feels quite credible, both in music and in scenery, costumes and characters.
They handle transitions very well, it is certainly an aspect to highlight, and I'm not just talking about the transitions in scenes, which are well cared for, but how the three stories are connected, with the narrator, the stories and situations that these women live.
Con una imagen bien producida que hace que los tres ambientes, es decir, las tres épocas, se sientan muy cuidadas, te sumergen en la realidad de los tres casos y se siente bastante creíble, tanto en música como en escenografía, vestuarios y personajes.
Manejan muy bien las transiciones, es sin duda un aspecto a destacar, y no solo hablo de las transiciones en escenas, que están bien cuidadas, sino como las tres historias se conectan, con el narrador, las historias y las situaciones que viven estas mujeres.

One of the aspects that I like a lot is the social criticism that can be noticed under the table, and how the three women face stigmas of their times, from homosexuality, abusive marriages and machismo to a more current issue such as polyamory. I don't think I can find any fault with this series, as even the "villain" characters have a certain charisma, with the exception of one or two that can make you hate the actor themselves, and I have always found that to be an outstanding aspect of the acting.
Personally I enjoyed the series quite a bit, I could rate it a 9 / 10, it's entertaining, easy to watch without bordering on cliché, and with a top notch cast (sorry, I love Lucy Liu). I invite you to give this series a spin, and soon I'll be bringing my opinion of the second season, which although it keeps the same premise of women involved in murders, it gives you a totally different feeling.
Without anything else to add, I've been feeling inspired and motivated, and when I feel like that, I can bring more reviews of the content I consume, so I hope to be seeing and reading them a little more often around this nice community. Happy weekend to all of you!
Uno de los aspectos que me gusta bastante es la crítica social que puede notarse por debajo de la mesa, y cómo las tres mujeres enfrentan estigmas de sus épocas, desde homosexualidad, matrimonios con abusos y machismo hasta llegar a un tema más actual como lo es el poliamor. No creo que pueda encontrar alguna falla en esta serie, pues incluso los personajes “villanos” tienen cierto carisma, a excepción de uno o dos que pueden hacerte odiar al mismo actor, y siempre eso me ha parecido un aspecto destacable de la actuación.
Personalmente disfruté la serie bastante, podría puntuarla con un 9 / 10, es entretenida, fácil de ver sin rayar en lo cliché, y con un cast de primera (lo siento, me encanta Lucy Liu). Les invito a darse una vuelta por esta serie, y pronto estaré trayendo mi opinión de la segunda temporada, que aunque mantiene la misma premisa de mujeres involucradas en asesinatos, te da una sensación totalmente distinta.
