Frankly, I don't really understand lands, only at first glance I see them as virtual land in the Splinterlands world that can generate income. Just like mining crypto tokens which requires a computer, VGA, electricity, and also maintenance. The better the equipment we use, the more we will produce, the same goes for the land. On land, we can get SPS and Grain tokens.
What is Land
Land (Plot) in the Splinterlands world is an area that can be purchased and produces tokens and certain items (Totems). Each land is a small part of the Splinterlands world which consists of larger parts such as regions and terrains such as Caldera, Canyon, Desert, etc. With a total of 14 Terrains type.
Each Plot is unique, and some lands will be more productive than other lands depending on how rare the land is (Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary), and also have different resources (Natural, Magical, and Occupied).
We Need Cards in Splinterlands
We need workers so that Land can produce items and tokens. Maybe in the world of Crypto mining, this is the VGA. The higher the level of the card and its level (rare, Epic, Legendary), the more results you will get.
Using cards with certain elements will produce more results in certain types of land.
Invest in Land
Like normal NFT assets in the gaming world, land can also be traded, the selling value of land depends on the type of rarity, location, and resource yield. This allows players to make a profit, especially if they have a good rarity level or a certain type of land that is unique and much desired. Many buy land as an investment asset, buying at a low price and selling it when the price rises.
Conclusion
Land allows players/investors to own virtual land in the world of Splinterlands where they can produce items, tokens and also provide new strategies for playing so they can earn more income. We have to collect certain cards and also understand the land we have so that these cards can produce optimal results. So that we can understand land quickly, we can ask questions in the [Discord] community (https://discord.gg/AEpA2FWp).
