Hey, everyone! While crypto itself has gone mainstream, not everything related to it has followed suit. The newcomers don't share the same values as the people who have been building in this space for ten years. They don't have to, but it's up to us to keep the foundations strong and prioritize decentralization.
In this clip:
- Crypto has gone mainstream
- Capital is moving into the crypto space
- Leaders and founders must maintain the original Web3 mindset
The driving factor that moved crypto before seems to be missing for the new wave of users. We have seen in the last few days how crypto has become mainstream, but how do we get all the projects offering value to gain the same traction?
A lot of the flow coming into crypto is because of memecoins, or people looking for immediate cash, not the tech or decentralization, and instead of being mad about it, we should look into why those things are catching attention and learn from it, even seek collaboration to succeed in bringing the 'normies' to our platforms
The principles of Web3 might not be what new users care about, but the fundamentals should remain intact. The leadership must prioritize this mindset and ensure we maximize decentralization.
