When I arrived to hive in the year 2021 I could realize that many of the things I was learning at that time about web3 were quite familiar to me and it didn't take me long to realize that this happened because my mind associated them with habbo hotel, a game for teenagers that I enjoyed a lot in the early 2000's and today we can say that it was way ahead of its time because it was a whole experience very similar to what we know today as metaverse, however at that time I only saw its similarity with hive because it has its own currency or token, the community is its base, you can earn badges and other similarities that I told you a few years ago in this video.

Investigando sobre la moda y el metaverso me he dado la tarea de llevar la investigación a la práctica y aunque habbo no era uno de mis objetivos pues no es considerado un metaverso como tal, sigue siendo uno de los mundos virtuales más completos que existen, con muchísimo potencial para seguir evolucionando, de hecho, se han adentrado parcialmente en web3 comercializando avatares como NFTs que puedes adquirir con tu wallet de Ethereum, en mi opinión habbo podría crear un sistema económico con su propia criptomoneda donde sus jugadores pudieran lucrarse de la compra y venta de sus activos, sin embargo, creo que por el momento el intercambio de bienes (furnis en habbo) por fiat o crypto está penalizado. Ya veremos cómo evoluciona esto en el futuro, lo cierto es que hay buen potencial sobre todo porque hay comunidad, cosa que hace la diferencia si lo comparo, por ejemplo, con decentraland, el cual es un metaverso que a pesar de tener buen potencial, a mi parecer, tiene ausencia de comunidad.

Pues como todo mundo virtual, en habbo tienes la posibilidad de expresarte a través de la vestimenta de tu avatar, puedes elegir una vestimenta conservadora o hacer lo que hace la mayoría, dejar volar tu creatividad y crear un look llamativo, bien sea para bien o para mal 😂 De hecho, el mismo habbo organiza concursos para premiar los mejores outfits, esto también lo veo como una manera de impulsar la compra de sus wearables ya que aparte de objetos para tus salas, ahora también puedes adquirir piezas de ropa únicas (Ropa rare) cuyo valor podría incluso ser de varios cientos de dólares.

Habbo ha cambiado mucho desde que dejé de jugarlo, han transcurrido tantos años que sólo lo recordaba como un juego de niños, pero al volver a jugarlo estos últimos días me di cuenta de que no hay diferencia alguna con cualquier metaverso que exista en la actualidad, si puedo entrar a decentraland a roblox o a cualquier otro, crear un avatar y hacer vida allí socializando con personas de todas partes del mundo y de distintas edades, ¿por qué no podría hacerlo en habbo? definitivamente este viaje al pasado acompañado de un poco de nostalgia me ha hecho cambiar mi perspectiva sobre ciertas cosas y una de ellas es mi manera de ver habbo, pues creo que puede convertirse en un metaverso atractivo para millennials y centennials con algunas mejorías en cuanto a su economía.

Ahora, como siguiente paso en la fase práctica de moda y metarverso, hemos decidido organizar un concurso de moda donde los habbos puedan competir por premios participando con sus mejores looks, para esto diseñamos una sala al mejor estilo de las fashion week IRL, le agregamos un escenario con pasarela, sillas para el jurado y para el público y una temática estilo bosque de fantasía. Aún no tenemos fecha para este evento, pero estaremos realizando publicidad y estoy segura de que participar en este tipo de actividades también les hará cambiar un poco la perspectiva sobre habbo, quién quita que en un futuro creemos una comunidad web3 dentro de habbo donde se pueda realizar onboarding y aprender sobre el metaverso desde el metaverso. La adopción siempre será más simple desde la práctica.
