Captivated by watercolor paintings ~ artsy canvas

If you are digital artist like me, how have been your art-venture? For me I just want to share that I learned to do a new art style.

My ibis paint x app almost got rotten being not used for awhile until I found a new art style to try and this issue called watercolor painting.

This is very different from those real painting on canvas people buy in art galleries or art shops where they bring home for display and decorations. It may not be too sentimental like traditional and real paintings that they put so much effort to make but a good thing here is that it's always free, this is 100 percent purchase-free from any essential materials used for painting like brushes, color pallettes and canvas.

You may ask about my process of painting, so here it is.

First thing I did is choosing a particular subject that I find pretty so I chose - flowers. Specifically, white flowers attracts me most, so I generated flower images from cici. Thanks to cici, she knows best when it comes to references.

After saving the generated photo in my device I imported it in ibis paint x as a reference and then I started to trace just the lines and set the reference aside in a smaller figure.

Unlike traditional watercolors that they effortfully mix the colours for blending, in here, it is easy that I just pick the colour from the reference. How I pick? I just tap any colors from the photo longpress and then ibis paint will auto use that colour.

For the brush, I will share my qr code and you can save and use it if you want to try this type of watercolor painting.

    Why I tried watercolor painting?

I am just a lowkey explorer person who likes to try new things out just to feel revived as well as to challenge my potentials. One of the things I i explore is my art-venture. The very first art I made was vector art back in 2020, followed by realistic type in 2022 and then watercolor painting this 2024. Trying different types is indeed an adventure.

Scrolling on my social media accounts with my feed full of watercolor paintings is just captivating. That's what made me try these:

I made three pieces of digital watercolor painting in a month. Not so obsessed with art but when I go through burnouts and I feel like an empty cup, the least thing I can easily do is paint in my free canvas and brushes to share afterwards. That even if I can not be able to go out, at least I still do something as a diversion.
