Life in a Year; movie review

The only movie I've watched that "Jaden Smith" starred in was "The Karate Kid" which was released in 2010 and I saw that movie when I was way younger. Here is what happened: So recently I was bored and needed a movie to watch, all the movies popping up in my notifications weren't giving me the kind of genre I wanted in a movie, after a few minutes of searching I decided not to watch any movie and just go to Facebook instead when I logged into the app, the first thing I saw was a review on this movie featuring "Jaden smith", at that moment I wanted to be sure if he was the one but fortunately he was.

The movie was released in 2020, I was now questioning myself about the particular planet I was on when this movie was released, I don't think I was on Earth cause currently I feel like I'm very late to the party and I don't like that feeling, the title of the movie is " life in a year" the title kind of tricked me cause I was expecting it to have a happy ending.

    A brief plot
The movie tells the story of a seventeen-year-old teenager named Daryn (Jaden Smith) whose girlfriend Isabelle (Cara Develingne) was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer and has just one year to live, so Daryn sets out plans to give her an entire life in the course of that one year.

My views: I found this movie interesting, at first I felt like he made a very stupid decision by giving up on his dreams for someone who's gonna die anytime, even when his dad tried to put him back on track with his studies and his athletic life, he refused and decided to stick with his plans of giving his girlfriend an entire amazing life in the remaining one year she has to live.

But then I sat down and realized that everyone deserves to be happy at one time in their lives, the girl in question has lived her entire life without a boyfriend because of her health, she knew what was gonna happen and did not want to be entangled in any friendship or relationship but then Daryn at the other hand was busying pouring out his feelings to her.

This movie made me cry at some point even when I was forming "hard girl" but I noticed I wasn't that hard when tears started rolling down my eyes. This was an incredible movie, the cast all did an amazing job in their roles, and Daryn's friends are crazy and funny at the same time. The female lead cast fixed herself into the character, I love that about her.

I'm gonna recommend this movie to anyone but then if you know you are the type that can't hold your eyes please, when you are watching this movie, do well to sit close to a bucket or a bowl so you can be able to pour your tears in it "just kidding".

I'm gonna rate this movie an 8/10, the remaining two percent comes to me for the tears. Images are screenshots taken with my phone from youtube.
