Today, I’m thrilled to share my latest piece with the wonderful @holozing community: a reimagined version of Female Ocean Healer in anime style.
This artwork is part of an initiative promoted by @acidyo, which encourages artists to create themed collections. I decided to contribute with a collection of healers, drawing inspiration from the grace and elegance of traditional Japan. This fusion felt like a perfect match for Female Ocean Healer, as her soothing presence and connection to water resonate with the tranquility and harmony of Japanese culture.
The creative process was an absolute joy. From the very beginning, I envisioned her with a serene yet powerful aura, embodying both the beauty of the ocean and the spirit of a warrior. The result is a piece that blends fantasy, tradition, and personal artistic vision—one that I can’t wait to share with all of you!

Decidí aportar con una colección de sanadores, inspirándome en la gracia y elegancia del Japón tradicional. Esta fusión me pareció perfecta para Female Ocean Healer, ya que su presencia calmada y su conexión con el agua reflejan la tranquilidad y armonía de la cultura japonesa.
El proceso creativo fue un deleite absoluto. Desde el inicio, la imaginé con un aura serena pero poderosa, encarnando tanto la belleza del océano como el espíritu de una guerrera. El resultado es una obra que fusiona fantasía, tradición y mi propia visión artística, y estoy ansiosa por compartirla con ustedes.
Bringing Female Ocean Healer into this traditional Japanese-inspired setting meant reinterpreting her design while keeping the essence of her character intact. Her signature blue hair, symbolizing the vastness of the sea, now flows with soft, layered strands, enhanced with delicate pearls, starfish, and seashells that evoke a mystical, oceanic touch.
Her outfit embraces the elegance of a traditional kimono, decorated with crescent moon patterns that subtly hint at the ocean tides. The fabric shimmers slightly, suggesting the gentle reflection of water under the moonlight. The obi sash secures the attire with a refined knot, adding to her graceful yet composed demeanor.
One of the most striking changes is the katana she carries, an element that transforms her from a passive healer into a guardian of the seas. This blade isn’t just a weapon—it symbolizes her role as both a protector and a force of balance. The backdrop, featuring a peaceful Japanese river with cherry blossoms in full bloom, enhances the sense of serenity and tradition.

Su característico cabello azul, que simboliza la inmensidad del mar, ahora fluye en suaves capas, adornado con delicadas perlas, estrellas de mar y conchas que le otorgan un aire místico y oceánico.
Su atuendo adopta la elegancia de un kimono tradicional, decorado con patrones de lunas crecientes que sugieren sutilmente el vaivén de las mareas. La tela tiene un ligero brillo, evocando el reflejo del agua bajo la luz de la luna. Un obi ceñido a su cintura con un lazo refinado refuerza su porte sereno y majestuoso.
Uno de los cambios más llamativos es la katana que sostiene, un elemento que la transforma de una sanadora pasiva a una guardiana de los mares. Esta espada no es solo un arma, sino un símbolo de su papel como protectora y equilibrio entre fuerzas. Process / Proceso
The creative journey began with a loose sketch, focusing on defining her posture and expression. I wanted her to exude a calm yet resolute energy, so I played around with different angles until I found the perfect balance between elegance and strength.
Once satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to refining the line art. Clean, smooth lines helped establish the delicate yet firm features of her face and the intricate details of her kimono and accessories. I paid special attention to her hair ornaments, ensuring they felt integrated into the overall composition.
Coloring was where the magic truly began. Using a soft yet rich color palette, I built up the depth of her hair and clothing, emphasizing the interplay between light and shadow. The blue tones in her hair were enriched with subtle gradients, giving it a shimmering, almost liquid effect.
To enhance the realism and depth, I carefully applied shadows and highlights. Strategic shading added volume to her form, while gentle highlights along the folds of her kimono and the gleam of her pearls brought the piece to life.
A final touch of ambient lighting and effects tied everything together. The warm sunset glow bathed the scene, creating a stunning contrast between the golden background and the cool blues of her attire. This harmonious blend of colors and lighting made the final piece feel immersive and enchanting.
El proceso creativo comenzó con un boceto suelto, centrándome en definir su postura y expresión. Quería que irradiara una energía calmada pero decidida, así que experimenté con diferentes ángulos hasta encontrar el equilibrio perfecto entre elegancia y fuerza.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pasé a refinar el delineado. Trazos limpios y fluidos ayudaron a establecer los delicados pero firmes rasgos de su rostro, así como los detalles intrincados de su kimono y accesorios. Presté especial atención a los adornos en su cabello, asegurándome de que se integraran de manera armoniosa en la composición.
La magia realmente comenzó en el coloreado. Usando una paleta de colores suaves pero vibrantes, fui construyendo profundidad en su cabello y vestimenta, destacando el juego entre luz y sombra. Los tonos azules de su cabello se enriquecieron con degradados sutiles, dándole un efecto brillante y casi líquido.
Para realzar la profundidad, apliqué cuidadosamente sombras y brillos. Las sombras estratégicas dieron volumen a su figura, mientras que los brillos en los pliegues de su kimono y el destello de las perlas aportaron dinamismo.
Un toque final de iluminación ambiental y efectos unificó la composición. El cálido resplandor del atardecer bañó la escena, creando un hermoso contraste entre el fondo dorado y los tonos fríos de su atuendo. Esta armonía de colores y luces hizo que la obra final se sintiera envolvente y mágica.
