Hace varias semanas que no escribo porque gracias a Dios los carros se han portado bien y por ahora estoy haciendo mantenimiento preventivo.

Normalmente estoy acostumbrado a realizar el mantenimiento a los carros cuando ya están fallando y tengo que pararlo, lo cual es un grave error, porque la mayoria de las fallas del vehículo son avisadas, es decir el carro habla cuando hay algo que no anda bien. Lo malo es que no le ponemos la atención en el momento adecuado, lo dejamos un tiempo y luego ese ruido se convierte en falla.

Tomando en cuenta ese detalle, el día de ayer le hice mantenimiento a la bomba de gasolina de mi aveo para cambiar el microfiltro que allí se encuentra y que siempre se llena de sucio a causa de la gasolina que viene con muchas impurezas.

Cuando este filtro se tapa de sucio causa fallas en la regulación de la gasolina y por ende en la aceleración del carro que se confunden con otras fallas, de allí la importancia de hacer regularmente esta limpieza.

Es un trabajo sencillo, sin embargo hay que hacerlo con mucho cuidado, sobretodo cuando se va a destapar el envase que protege a la pila de la gasolina. Esta carcasa es plástica y tiene unas uñas sujetadoras que hay que abrir con un destornillador, pero si no se tiene cuidado se corre el riesgo de romper la carcasa y esto complicaría el procedimiento.

Una vez abierto el envase. Se procede a reemplazar el pequeño filtro que se encuentra en la parte inferior, notándose de color oscuro debido a la cantidad de suciedad acumulada.

Normally I am used to do the maintenance to the cars when they are already failing and I have to stop it, which is a big mistake, because most of the failures of the vehicle are warned, that is to say the car speaks when there is something that is not going well. The bad thing is that we do not pay attention to it at the right time, we leave it for a while and then that noise becomes a failure.

Taking into account this detail, yesterday I did maintenance to the fuel pump of my Aveo to change the microfilter that is there and that always fills with dirt because of the gasoline that comes with many impurities.

When this filter is clogged with dirt it causes failures in the gasoline regulation and therefore in the acceleration of the car that are confused with other failures, hence the importance of doing this cleaning regularly.

It is a simple job, but it must be done very carefully, especially when uncovering the container that protects the fuel cell. This casing is plastic and has some fastening nails that you have to open with a screwdriver, but if you are not careful you run the risk of breaking the casing and this would complicate the procedure.

Once the container has been opened. We proceed to replace the small filter that is located at the bottom, noting dark color due to the amount of accumulated dirt.
