At the beginning of this year, I only ran once which I did on 3 January. This run was a bit tricky because it coincided with the first day of menstruation. Actually, there is no significant difference between menstruation or not. However, what is often felt during menstruation, especially the first and second days and then still running routine is that the calves tend to be easily sore. Is it because of air circulation, or why?
As usual, after Asr prayer, I drove to Situ Gintung. And I started my run at 4.11pm. At this time the sun was still quite strong, it had rarely rained lately, so, I hoped with myself that my running progress this year would be better than the previous year.
During the run, there were no significant obstacles, except for the calves that felt a little sore than usual. So, I completed my run in 38:06 minutes with a total distance of 5.05 km and an average pace of 7:33/km. Although I didn't burn a lot of calories, I was grateful that my heart rate was lower than the usual 155 bpm.
Anyway, of the jerseys I got from running events, for some reason I like this purple one from last year's Amartha Run the best. It's lightweight and 100% polyester so it absorbs sweat easily and dries quickly.
