As human, celebrations play an important role in our lives. Life itself is hard so the little we could do for ourselves is to celebrate our little victories. Such celebrations help bring loved ones together for one purpose and also aids in strengthening bonds.
I’ve heard stories about how people met their partners and destiny helpers at a friends wedding or a gettogether. Everyone wants to have fun and such events are what most of us need. It’s sad @sholex94 didn’t invite me to his wedding, I could have met my future husband there.😂
I’m not big on celebrations. I feel it’s overwhelming sometimes and other times I just feel lazy and too exhausted to show up or do anything. This year , I’m trying to change that part about me.
This year, I look forward to celebrating so many things, even the tiniest of events or happenings would be celebrated. I wouldn’t be able to mention every event worth celebrating this year so let me just pick two out of the first 5.😅
The first anniversary I look forward to celebrating this year is my birthday. Over the years, I’ve treated my birthday like just any other day. I mostly don’t do any extra except when I’m forced to.😂 As I’ve already told @depressedfuckup and @yahuzah, this year we are going big on my birthday, like it or not. Please, don’t think too far, I’m just talking about something small which will look big to me because I literally don’t do much on my birthday. A little party with my friends and loved ones wouldn’t be bad compared to being holed up in my room watching movies. And oh, before I forget, you all are invited. Don’t later come and say I didn’t invite you to my party.😂 Come with your own food though.
Next on my list would be my who knows how many years relationship anniversary with my partner. I know we all decided to be single but I don’t want to be like @abenad and @yahuzah.😂 This might seem a bit weird but we mostly seem to forget about our anniversary until it’s a day or two later.😂 The last time I spoke about it this guy was like ‘ our anniversary started the first day I spoke to you, everyday is our anniversary’.😂
This year I don’t want to hear anything like that and I want us to celebrate our anniversary in grand style. Being with someone for this long isn’t as easy as it looks. We have our good and bad days and with all of these we still stick with each other. That’s something worth celebrating don’t you think?
Who knows, in addition to these ,one of my hive friends might decide to get married and invite me to the celebration which I would gladly show up to.😂
