Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy, muy bien, el 2024 arrancó con mucha fuerza en Perú, en el mes de enero me llegaron varias invitaciones a algunos eventos en el marco del Ethereum Lima Day, un evento que unió a muchísimos speakers de diferentes regiones, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, USA y más. No pudimos participar en todas, sin embargo cuando los chicos del Ethereum Latam Day (es una organización al Lima Day 😅) me invitó al Women Web3 me pareció fascinante porque era un evento diferente, un café entre amigas del ecosistema, contarnos los proyectos en los que trbajábamos o en los que estábamos pensando desarrollar.

Este café entre amigas unió a varias chicas de Lima, además contamos con la presencia de Romina y mientras conversábamos los organizadores fueron pidiendo unos postrecitos muy ricos, todo se veía muy cuchi. Pero para no saltarnos del tema, el hilo de la conversación se tejió en son de promover más espacios seguros donde la mujer pueda participar.

Me hizo mucho ruido que a pesar de los esfuerzos en la realización de eventos y la intengración de mujeres en proyectos de web3, sigue estando la brecha muy grande entre hombres y mujeres. Pocas son las mujeres que lideran áreas técnas, que están involucradas en gobernanzas... Claramente no sucede en todos los espacios y tampoco significa que no existan esos casos. Yo mencioné las referencias que tengo de Hive, yo misma lidero proyectos y comunidades en este ecosistema, me parece que hay muchísimos proyectos liderados por mujeres en Hive, no estoy muy segura de cómo está la data a nivel de desarrollo, y tampoco en la gobernanza witnesses veo muchas referencias femeninas, pero sé que se está trabajando en mejorar estos aspectos. Todas estas conversaciones son necesarias, para conocer cómo están trabajando otros proyectos, cómo podemos mejorar nosotros y cuáles son las expectativas.

Sin duda alguna este evento más que bonito e interesante me dejó reflexionando mucho. Yo disfruté las conversaciones, conocía a creadoras increíbles de diferentes áreas conectando por la tecnología y las oportunidades que nos brinda a todas.

Hello friends I hope you are very, very well, 2024 started with a lot of force in Peru, in January I received several invitations to some events in the framework of Ethereum Lima Day, an event that brought together many speakers from different regions, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, USA and more. We could not participate in all of them, however when the guys from Ethereum Latam Day (an organization like Lima Day 😅) invited me to the Women Web3 I found it fascinating because it was a different event, a coffee among friends from the ecosystem, telling us about the projects we were working on or the ones we were thinking of developing.

This coffee among friends brought together several girls from Lima, we also had the presence of Romina and while we were talking the organizers were ordering some delicious desserts, everything looked very cute. But not to skip the subject, the thread of the conversation was woven around the idea of promoting more safe spaces where women can participate.

It made a lot of noise to me that in spite of the efforts in the realization of events and the integration of women in web3 projects, the gap between men and women is still very big. Few are the women who lead technical areas, who are involved in governance? Clearly this does not happen in all areas and it does not mean that these cases do not exist. I mentioned the references I have from Hive, I myself lead projects and communities in this ecosystem, it seems to me that there are many projects led by women in Hive, I am not sure how the data is at the development level, and I do not see many female references in governance witnesses, but I know that they are working on improving these aspects. All these conversations are necessary, to know how other projects are working, how we can improve and what are the expectations.

Undoubtedly this event more than beautiful and interesting left me reflecting a lot. I enjoyed the conversations, I met incredible creators from different areas connecting through technology and the opportunities it gives us all.
