Pigs are dirty, pigs are slow, pigs cannot run a mile to save their lives, pigs can only make the oink oink sound…….these and many more are the misconceptions most people have when they see a pig but my very glance at the picture reminds me of the acts I know about pigs.
So, allow me to speak in a pig’s defense; pigs are not dirty, rather they run into muds just to keep themselves cool because they don’t sweet, yes you read that right, pigs don’t sweat and they are not dirty, just put them in a large space.
●Pigs are probably smarter than dogs. They are incredibly smart animals and their high level of intelligence ranks them as one of the smartest animals in the world. Their high cognitive ability shows that they can play complex games, recognize their own names and learn basic tricks and commands.
●Pigs can communicate with one another through distinct grunts and squeals. They have more than 20 vocalizations that have been identified to convey a different message each.
●Pigs have powerful senses and their sense of smell is by far their strongest. They can search for food with their snout and gather information during social interactions. They have sense of smell that is 2000 times more sensitive than that of a human.
●A pig’s appearance would make you not believe how agile they are but they can reach speeds of 7 kilometers per hour. Pigs have been observed swimming in some parts of The Bahamas.
