Duck per cabbage(ice)

    Duck per cabbage

We need to wash and coat a duck with oil and spices. Then, we put the duck and a cup of water in a pan and bake it in the oven for an hour.

Cut the cabbage into small pieces and heat them in a pan until soft. Add the sliced onion, water, and spices.

Take the duck out of the pan and add the cabbage. Then, put the duck on top of the cabbage and put it in the oven.

After an hour and a half in the oven, the dish is ready: a delicious duck on cabbage.

I've only made this recipe once so far. The sauteed cabbage with the duck fat drained into it was delicious, but the duck dried out too much, and it wasn't what I expected.

    Duck per ice

I've had better luck with ducks on ice.

With the last of winter's return, snow has frozen the pond in Circus Park in Bucharest, home to many wild ducks.

So far, I've only seen ducks on cabbage and water, but I've never seen ducks on ice.

It happens to anyone who tries to walk on ice, and the ducks are comical when they try not to slip.

The ducks' food is under frozen water, so they're looking for a place to get there.

There are cracks in the ice from place to place, but I don't know if there are enough for all the birds to find food.

Fortunately, the pond is in a park, where many people come to feed these birds, who are temporarily in a delicate situation.

I rely mostly on photos in all my blogs. Words don't help me as much as photos.

I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words. When I post on Photography Lovers, the words have even less importance; they are a companion to the photos I want to show. This often makes the story uninteresting, yet it is necessary; otherwise, the photos would merely be a series of ordinary images.

I make this statement as a plea to those reading not to over-judge the text and to focus on the photos.

A wise saying goes that a photograph is worth a thousand words, but I don't think so.

    Everything depends on the beholder.
