I got up at 4 am, had tea and came on the road at 5 am. Negi ji offered me tea again. The bus to Chamoli arrived at 5.30. I reached Joshimath via Chamoli at 8 am. I started looking for a cheap lodge to stay there. But there was no room for less than Rs. 500. There was a bed in Birla Dharamshala for Rs. 200 but they refused to give it to me saying that they do not accommodate a single person. I was forced to take a room in a hotel for Rs. 500, kept my luggage and after taking a bath, I left for Shri Kalpeshwar ji Yatra. I got to know after reaching the tanker stand that a tanker was about to come and would go there. The tanker came at 9 am. I left from there at 10 am. For the return, the drivers of the stand had told me that the vehicle would be available by 4 pm. I was taking only a raincoat with me. Because I had to return by evening and stay in the hotel. After crossing Helang, I asked my driver about the return vehicle. He said that there is no return vehicle today and we will get a vehicle tomorrow morning. I was speechless. On one hand, I booked a room in Joshimath. Now I will have to book a room here as well. An old Brahmin was sitting behind me, who was a resident of the same place. He asked where I was coming from. I said I am on Panch Kedar Yatra. He started laughing and said that you have visited four Kedars and now you will get the fruit of one night Kalpavas at the feet of fifth Kedar Shri Kalpeshwar Ji Maharaj. Staying here is not a coincidence but an order of Mahadev.

The taxi driver dropped me 1km before the temple. From there we started walking. I bowed down at the temple door. A young sadhu was cleaning the temple premises. I first took darshan of the deity from outside. Because the grill was closed. I came back and asked the young sadhu for a broom and I also started cleaning. During our conversation, I came to know that his name is Damru Baba. The head sadhu here has gone to Badrinath. When I asked Damru Baba about staying there, he flatly refused. He said there is no place to stay here. I said no problem, I will sleep outside. He said there is no arrangement for food here. You go to the village, there is a lodge there, all facilities are available. I said I will not eat at night. Damru Baba said this means that you will stay here and he started laughing. He said I understood as soon as I saw you that you are not going to leave. At that time there was no one in the temple except me and Damru Baba. There is a hut in the courtyard of the temple in which an eternal fire is kept burning. Damru Baba started making tea with herbs on the same fire and told me to look there are two sadhus in that room, call them. When I went to the room he told me, two sadhus were sleeping there. I asked them to have tea and left. The two sadhus also came behind me. I came to know that they have come from Panch Dashnami Akhara, Junagadh. We all had tea. The taste of the tea made on the fire was divine. 4-5 people came after us but Damru Baba showed everyone the way to the honour of the village.
The priest of Shri Kalpeshwar Ji lives in the same village and comes to perform the aarti in the morning and evening. It was time for the priest to come for the evening aarti. I was sitting near Damru Baba. He and the two Naga Sadhus were taking puffs from the chillum. Will you ask me? I said, no baba. They were singing their own songs in their own tune. I was waiting for the priest to come, looking at the burning akhand dhuni and Damru Baba, lost in his own world. After some time the priest came. I requested him to give me a chance to serve in cleaning the temple. He gave me a bucket smilingly and also asked me to bring water. The water that was coming from the tap behind the temple was completely milky, it seemed as if milk was mixed in it. The priest and I cleaned the temple together. Then the Lord was adorned. Then the aarti was started. In the middle of the aarti, the priest gave me the aarti to perform. Today my soul was filled with joy, my eyes were filled with happiness. It was as if I had gained the empire of all three worlds. Now I realized why my The deity kept me near him. I got the fruits of Panch Kedar Yatra. When the Aarti was over, some more pilgrims came. After making them all perform Puja, the Pujari took me to his room in the temple itself. I kept refusing, but he made tea and gave it to me. Both the Mahatmas had also taken a bath. We went to the temple and bowed to God from outside the grill. Then we came to Damru Baba's hut. Damru Baba made tea for everyone. After drinking tea, at 6 o'clock, both the Mahatmas took blessings from Damru Baba and left for Joshimath. In this way my Panch Kedar Yatra was completed. सुबह 4 बजे उठ गया, चाय पी कर 5 बजे सड़क पर आ गया. नेगी जी ने फ़िर से चाय पिलाइ. 5.30 मे चमोली की बस आ गयी. चमोली होते हुए 8 बजे जोशीमठ पहुंच गया. वहा रहने के लिए कोइ सस्ता लाज देखने लगा. लेकिन कही भी 500/से कम मे रुम नहीं था. बिरला धर्मशाला में बेड था 200/ में लेकिन उन्होने यह कहकर कि अकेले को हम नहीं रखते हैं देने से मना कर दिया. मजबुरन होटल में 500/रु में एक रूम लेकर समान रख नहाकर श्री कल्पेश्वर जी यात्रा के लिए निकल गया. टेकर स्टैंड जाकर मालुम हुआ कि एक टेकर आने वाली है वही जायगी. 9 बजे टेकर आइ. 10 बजे वहा से चल दिये. वापसी के लिए वहा स्टैड के ड्राइवरो ने बताया था कि शाम 4 बजे तक गाड़ी मिलेगी. मै अपने साथ केवल रेनकोट ले जा रहा था. क्योंकि शाम तक वापस आ कर होटल में रहना था. हेलन्ग पार करने के बाद मैने अपने ड्राइवर से वापसी के गाड़ी के बारे में पुछा तो वो बोला कि वापसी की कोइ गाड़ी आज नहीं है कल सुबह ही गाड़ी मिलेगी. मैं आवाक रह गया. एक तरफ़ जोशीमठ में रुम ले लिया. अब यहा भी रुम लेना पड़ेगा. पिछे एक वृद्ध ब्राह्मन बैठे थे, जो वही के रहने वाले थे. उन्होने पुछा कहा से आ रहे हैं. मैं बोला पन्च केदार की यात्रा पर है. वो हसने लगे चार केदार आपने दर्शन कर लिया अब पान्चवे केदार श्री कल्पेश्वर जी महाराज के चरणों में एक रात्रि कल्प्वास का फ़ल आपको मिलने वाला है. यहा रुकना एक संयोग नहीं बल्कि महादेव का आदेश है.

मन्दिर से 1km पहले ही टेकर वाले ने उतार दिया. वहा से पैदल चल दिये. मन्दिर के दरवाजे पर पहुंच दंडवत किया. एक युवा साधु मन्दिर प्रांगण की सफ़ाइ मे लगे थे. मैने सबसे पहले भगवन के बाहर से दर्शन किया. क्योकि ग्रिल बन्द था. वापस आ युवा साधु से झाडू माँग मै भी सफ़ाइ मे लग गया. बातो बातो मे मालुम हुआ कि उनका नाम डमरु बाबा है. यहा के प्रधान साधु बद्रिनाथ गए हैं. मैने डमरु बाबा से वहा रुकने के बारे में पुछा तो उन्होने साफ़ मना कर दिया. बोले यहा रहने के लिये जगह नहीं है. मैं बोला कोइ बात नहीं मै बाहर ही सो जाउ गा. वो बोले यहा भोजन का भी कोइ व्यवस्था नहीं है. आप गाव में चले जाओ वहा लाज है, सब सुविधा है. मै बोला मैं रात्रि मे भोजन नहीं करूंगा. डमरु बाबा बोले इसका मतलब है कि आप यही रुकोगे और वे हसने लगे. बोले तुम्हें देखते ही समझ लिया था कि तुम जाने वाले नहीं हो. उस समय मंदिर मे मेरे और डमरु बाबा के अलावा कोइ नहीं था. मन्दिर के प्रांगण में एक कुटिया है जिसमे अखंड धुनी जलती रहती है, डमरु बाबा ने उसी धुनी पर जड़ी बुटी से चाय बनाने लगे मुझे बोले देखो उस कमरे में दो साधु है बुला लो. जब मैं उनके बताए कमरे में गया तो वहा दो साधु सो रहे थे, उन्हे चाय पीने के लिये कहकर मैं चला आया, पिछे से दोनों साधु भी आ गये. मालुम हुआ कि वे पन्च दशनामी अखाड़ा. जूनागढ़ से आए है. हम सभी ने चाय पी. धुनी पर बने चाय का स्वाद अलौकिक था. हमारे बाद 4-5 लोग और आए लेकिन सभी को डमरु बाबा ने गाव के लाज का रास्ता दिखा दिया
श्री कल्पेश्वर जी के पुजारी वही गाव में रहते है सुबह शाम आरती करने आते हैं. शायंकालिन आरती के लिए पुजारी जी के आने का समय हो रहा था. मैं डमरु बाबा के पास बैठा था, वो और दोनो नागा साधु चिलम से दम पर दम लगाए जा रहे थे, मुझसे पुछे लेगा. मैं बोला, नहीं बाबा. वो अपनी धुन में अपना बनाया गाना अपने ही लय में गाये जा रहे थे. मैं वहा जलती अखंड धुनी और अपने में मस्त डमरु बाबा को देखता पुजारी जी के आने का इंतजार कर रहा था. कुछ देर बाद पुजारी जी आए, उनसे मैने मन्दिर साफ़ सफ़ाइ में सेवा का मौका देने का निवेदन किया, वो हसते हुए एक बाल्टी दिया और जल लाने को भी कहा. मन्दिर के पीछे में स्थित नल से जो पानी आ रहा था एकदम दुधिया था, लग रहा था जैसे दुध मिला हुआ हो. पुजारी जी और मैने मिलकर मन्दिर की साफ़ सफ़ाइ की. फ़िर भगवन का श्रृंगार हुआ. फ़िर आरती शुरू की गयी. आधी आरती मे पुजारी जी ने आरती मुझे करने को दिया. आज मेरी अन्तरात्मा खुशी से निहाल हो रही थी, खुशी से आंख भर गये. जैसे तीनो लोक का साम्राज्य प्राप्त हो गया था. अब मुझे भान हुआ क्यों मेरे अराध्य ने अपने पास रोका. पन्च केदार यात्रा का फ़ल मुझे मिल गया. आरती समाप्त हुआ तभी कुछ और यात्री आए. उन सभी को पुजा कराकर पुजारी जी मुझे मन्दिर मे ही बने अपने कमरे मे ले गये. मैं मना करता रहा फ़िर भी वे चाय बनाकर पिलाए. कुछ देर उनसे बाते होती रही फ़िर वे अपने गाव को चल दिये. मैं मन्दिर के आस पास का सुन्दर दृश्य को देखने लगा. तभी डमरु बाबा ने आवाज लगाया. आ जाओ चाय पी लो. फ़िर से धुनी पर बनी चाय हम सभी पिने लगे. इस चाय को पीते ही शरीर में अजीब सी गर्मी आ जाती थी. ठंड का अहसास नहीं होता था. अंधेरा होने लगा था. डमरु बाबा और दोनों नागा साधु गांजा का चिलम पे चिलम फ़ुके जा रहे थे, धुनी वाली कुटिया गांजा के धुए से भर गई थी. मैं कुछ देर के लिये बाहर निकल कर टहलने लगा. जब वापस कुटिया में गया तो देखा धुनी पर चावल बन रहा है फ़िर आलु का सब्जी बनाया गया. हम सभी भगवन को नमन कर धुनी पर बने भोग प्रसाद ग्रहण किये. उस भोग के स्वाद का वर्णन सम्भव नहीं है. भोजन करने के बाद कुछ देर हम सभी वही बात करते रहे तब तक डमरु बाबा व दोनों महात्मा कश पे कश लगाते रहे. तभी डमरु बाबा का आदेश जारी हुआ तुम इन दोनों महात्मा के साथ कमरे में जाकर सो जाओ. मैं नागा साधु के साथ कमरे में गया. वहा 7 चौकी लगी थी, बिस्तर कम्बल रजाइ के साथ. मैं एक चौकी पर आराम से सो गया. भगवन ने रहने व भोजन का भरपुर व्यवस्था कर दिया था. कब आंख लगी पता नहीं चला. सुबह 5 बजे ही फ़्रेश होकर नहा लिया. दोनों महात्मा भी स्नान कर लिए थे. मन्दिर मे जाकर ग्रिल के बाहर से ही भगवन को नमन किये. फ़िर डमरु बाबा के कुटिया में आ गये. डमरू बाबा ने सभी के लिए चाय बनाइ. चाय पी कर 6बजे दोनों महात्मा व डमरु बाबा से आशिर्वाद लेकर जोशीमठ के लिये निकल गये. इस तरह मेरी पन्च केदार की यात्रा पुर्ण हुइ.
पन्च केदारो में प्रथम केदार नाथ- पीठ, द्वितीय केदार श्री मद महेश्वर में- नाभी, तृतीय केदार श्री तुन्गनाथ जी मे- भुजा, चतुर्थ केदार श्री रुद्रनाथ जी मे- मुख व पन्चम केदार श्री कल्पेश्वर जी मे- जटा के दर्शन होते हैं. इसके उपरान्त काठमांडू नेपाल स्थित पशुपति जी के दर्शन करने का नियम है.
