Sometimes last year in the month of June. While I was clearing my farm land in preparation for cultivation as the planting season was beginning, I narrowly escaped from the venom of the wild.
I had been clearing them almost a month before then. I started from one part of the land. I didn't go to that side at the beginning since I had suspected that there might be poisonous snakes inhabiting that area since the bush had grown thick. So, I started clearing and plowing from the part that was not very bushy.
Bit by bit I had been working in the land, cutting trees and tilling the soil. One would have expected that such creature would have relocated gradually from the area as it was hearing a disturbance in it's habitat. But surprisingly, this wild creature was still living in that locality.
As I was clearing the land, I gradually approached the dreaded zone. That fateful day I have been clearing early in the morning and cultivating. I was checking as I was progressing in the work. Then suddenly, I heard the sound of shattering leaves. I shouted. Behold, they arose a mighty cobra and crawl away. The fear was much! I was not expecting such. I jumped and ran away. By the time I gathered courage to come back in search of it, I couldn't locate where it had entered. I was happy I was able to escape the venom of that cobra.
