Friendly greetings dear Hivers, especially to coffee lovers. It is my pleasure to join this week's STB to share with you some of my coffee experiences. Spilling coffee can be a very common thing, in fact I think it has happened to some of us quite often. For me in particular it makes me very angry when this happens. On the one hand because it is such a waste and on the other hand because I usually get burned by the heat of the coffee.

The truth is, I don't know anyone who hasn't spilled their coffee at one time or another. One of the funniest and most absurd spills I ever heard of was when my mother and sister went to get coffee in the city and when they brought it to her, my mother noticed that the table was out of adjustment and was spinning on its base. It occurred to her that she could rotate the cups and make a video of it. While my sister was filming, my mother spun the table around and the cups spun without spilling. For a moment she got out of hand and the cups went flying, spilling all the coffee and making a big mess in the cafeteria. I have no doubt that that spill has to be on the list of the worst spills in history.

I don't usually play with my coffee, but I won't deny that I have spilled it by accident. There was a time when every morning I would pour myself a cup of coffee and I would quickly drink it ignoring that it was freshly made, when the brown liquid at high temperatures touched my tongue I would end up spitting it out and spilling it everywhere. I was in the habit of checking the temperature before drinking.

But my worst coffee spill was on one occasion when I had to strain it the traditional way because there was no electricity and I was desperate for my morning coffee. I took a tea towel to the aluminum jug where I had just brewed the coffee, but it turned out that the towel was too thin and was not enough to insulate the heat. When I started to feel my hand burning, I wanted to throw it away but I knew it was dangerous, so I bent down as much as I could to be closer to the ground and there I let it go.

As the mug was closer to the ground when I threw it, the impact was less, but I certainly lost half of the coffee I had brewed, as it was splashed all over the floor. The good news is that I was able to drink my cup to start the day.

Okay, those were my anecdotes on this occasion. I found the topic quite amusing. I am glad to share once again with you. I bid you farewell until next time.
