I'm Lorentm, a digital artist, and today I want to share with you one of my most recent works, inspired by a @holozing character. Hello to all the @holozing community! I'm very excited to be able to present to you my artistic interpretation of Larvie, a fascinating character that I decided to recreate in anime style.
For this fan art, I imagined Larvie as a combination between a caterpillar and an alien. His head is large and rounded, with expressive yellow eyes and black pupils that exude curiosity and ancient wisdom. Its segmented, caterpillar-like body is adorned with alternating bands of green, yellow and pinkish-red, and it has two pairs of limbs ending in sharp claws. Two long antennae protrude from the top of its head, as if picking up cosmic and mysterious signals.
In a forgotten corner of reality, Larvie emerges as a creature of haunting beauty. Its expressive eyes and segmented body, halfway between caterpillar and armor, suggest a unique evolutionary adaptation. The prominent antennae and respiratory circles around its neck, like reliquaries of a forgotten past, add an air of mystery. In the background, I have imagined an alien landscape of red mountains under a sunset sky to complete the scene and add a touch of wonder.
This Larvie, with its enigmatic aura, is a tribute to the imagination and creativity that flourish in the Holozing universe. I hope you enjoy this interpretation as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Estoy muy emocionada de poder presentarles mi interpretación artística de Larvie, un personaje fascinante que he decidido recrear en estilo anime.
Para este fan art, imaginé a Larvie como una combinación entre una oruga y un alienígena. Su cabeza es grande y redondeada, con ojos expresivos de color amarillo y pupilas negras que destilan curiosidad y sabiduría ancestral. Su cuerpo segmentado, similar al de una oruga, está adornado con bandas alternadas de color verde, amarillo y rojo rosado, y posee dos pares de extremidades terminadas en garras afiladas. Dos largas antenas sobresalen de la parte superior de su cabeza, como si estuvieran captando señales cósmicas y misteriosas.
En un rincón olvidado de la realidad, Larvie emerge como una criatura de belleza inquietante. Sus ojos expresivos y su cuerpo segmentado, a medio camino entre oruga y armadura, sugieren una adaptación evolutiva única. Las prominentes antenas y los círculos respiratorios que rodean su cuello, como relicarios de un pasado olvidado, añaden un aire de misterio. En el fondo, he imaginado un paisaje alienígena de montañas rojas bajo un cielo de atardecer para completar la escena y añadir un toque de maravilla.

Larvie will be a little tanky and attempt to slow enemies down with its moves to give it a chance to attack first as the battle goes on. With each attack, it will also be able to poison enemy creatures which will then significantly boost its damage output together with its regular attacks while it attempts to increase its defense and dodge chance.
Larvie será un poco tanky e intentará ralentizar a los enemigos con sus movimientos para tener la oportunidad de atacar primero a medida que avance la batalla. Con cada ataque, también podrá envenenar a las criaturas enemigas, lo que aumentará significativamente su producción de daño junto con sus ataques regulares mientras intenta aumentar su defensa y su probabilidad de esquivar.
Process / Proceso
Creating this Larvie fan art has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I'd like to share with you the process of creation, from the initial conception to the final touches.
It all started with a sketch. I took my graphics tablet and started sketching the basic shapes of Larvie. I focused on capturing his alien essence and caterpillar-like features. His large, rounded head, expressive eyes and long antennae were my first strokes. At first, the sketch was simple, just basic lines and shapes, but it allowed me to visualize Larvie's structure and pose.
Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to outlining. This is where the character really starts to take shape. I used a fine digital brush to draw clean, sharp lines on the sketch. At this stage, I paid special attention to detail, making sure the claws, antennae and body segments were accurate and consistent. The outlining gave Larvie a more defined look and allowed her distinctive features to stand out.
With the outlining complete, it was time for coloring. I used a palette of bold colors to bring Larvie to life. I started with the base color of her body, applying greens, yellows and pinkish reds in the segmented bands. Next, I worked on the eyes, making sure the yellow in her eyes and the black pupils were vibrant and expressive. I made sure the colors blended smoothly to give a sense of volume and depth.
After coloring, I moved on to applying shadows and shimmers. This step is crucial to give the character a three-dimensional and more realistic look. I used soft shadows to highlight the areas where the light would not reach directly, such as under the limbs and between the body segments. Then, I added highlights on the parts most exposed to light, such as the top of the head and the antennae. This contrast between shadows and highlights helped to bring out Larvie's textures and details, giving it a more dynamic and realistic look.
Finally, I made some final adjustments to make sure all the elements were balanced and harmonious. I added the alien landscape background of red mountains under a sunset sky, which perfectly complemented Larvie's figure and gave it a fascinating visual context.
Creating this digital art was a painstaking and creative process. Each step, from the initial sketch to the final touches, allowed me to explore and express Larvie's essence in a unique and personal way. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Crear este fan art de Larvie ha sido una experiencia increíblemente gratificante, y me gustaría compartir con ustedes el proceso de creación, desde la concepción inicial hasta los toques finales.
Todo comenzó con un boceto. Tomé mi tableta gráfica y empecé a esbozar las formas básicas de Larvie. Me enfoqué en capturar su esencia alienígena y sus características de oruga. Su cabeza grande y redondeada, los ojos expresivos y las antenas largas fueron mis primeros trazos. Al principio, el boceto era simple, sólo líneas y formas básicas, pero me permitió visualizar la estructura y la postura de Larvie.
Una vez que estuve satisfecha con el boceto, pasé al delineado. Aquí es donde el personaje realmente empieza a tomar forma. Usé un pincel digital fino para trazar líneas limpias y definidas sobre el boceto. En esta etapa, presté especial atención a los detalles, asegurándome de que las garras, las antenas y los segmentos del cuerpo fueran precisos y coherentes. El delineado le dio a Larvie un aspecto más definido y permitió que sus características distintivas sobresalieran.
Con el delineado completo, llegó el momento del coloreado. Utilicé una paleta de colores vivos para darle vida a Larvie. Comencé con el color base de su cuerpo, aplicando verdes, amarillos y rojos rosados en las bandas segmentadas. Luego, trabajé en los ojos, asegurándome de que el amarillo de sus ojos y las pupilas negras fueran vibrantes y expresivos. Me aseguré de que los colores se mezclaran suavemente para dar una sensación de volumen y profundidad.
Después del coloreado, me dediqué a aplicar sombras y brillos. Este paso es crucial para darle al personaje una apariencia tridimensional y más realista. Usé sombras suaves para resaltar las áreas donde la luz no llegaría directamente, como debajo de las extremidades y entre los segmentos del cuerpo. Luego, añadí brillos en las partes más expuestas a la luz, como la parte superior de la cabeza y las antenas. Este contraste entre sombras y brillos ayudó a resaltar las texturas y detalles de Larvie, dándole un aspecto más dinámico y real.
Finalmente, realicé algunos ajustes finales para asegurarme de que todos los elementos estuvieran equilibrados y armoniosos. Añadí el fondo del paisaje alienígena de montañas rojas bajo un cielo de atardecer, lo cual complementó perfectamente la figura de Larvie y le dio un contexto visual fascinante.
Crear este arte digital fue un proceso meticuloso y lleno de creatividad. Cada paso, desde el boceto inicial hasta los últimos retoques, me permitió explorar y expresar la esencia de Larvie de una manera única y personal. Espero que disfruten de esta pieza tanto como yo disfruté creándola.
