Visiting our Abandoned Pawpaw farm. The importance of the Pawpaw fruit .

Hello dear fellow Hivers and people of the great community of Agricultural Mindset. I hope we are all doing well. Last time we talked about the maize planting season and the different procedures to plant maize seeds. But today is Pawpaw day.

So today, I decided to visit our abandoned pawpaw farm. At home, only my parents love pawpaw fruit because they know what it gives to the body. My siblings and I prefer other fruits to pawpaw so because of this none of us even cares to visit the farm. I would have visited the farm but I was in school since and when I returned from school my parents always told me to rest.

When I arrived there I found out that the farm is now a bush. The grasses have taken up half the nutrients needed by the pawpaw.

Some of them have thrived and have some fruits but were eaten by birds and some dried up there.

Some are still about to ripe and I promise myself that those ones are not for the birds as I would always visit to check on them. Even if I don't eat it I would get it for my parents,I know they will be proud of my efforts on their farms.

I removed some of the dying leaves to avoid sucking and wasting nutrients from the pawpaw trees as the weeds and grasses have done their worst to them already.

I wasn't only sad because of the way the farm looks but what annoyed me the most was that people who have no conscience disposed refuse at the entrance to our farm. That gave me a lot of work as I had to pack most of them in bags to the legal waste disposal site.

That was all the work on the farm this morning and I am at home now trying to get some rest.

Before I leave I would love to tell you the importance of taking fruits, especially the pawpaw fruit. Pawpaw fruit is rich in minerals such as Vitamin C, magnesium and iron. Vitamin C boosts immunity, helping the body fight against diseases. Iron helps in the formation of blood. When my parents told me all these yesterday night, I visited the farm this morning(lol).
    Have a good day.
