The ten Hag farewell

Whoa!! Whoever saw this coming? A twist in Anfield's lovely farewell tale?
It all started with Klopp's announcement that he was going to leave the club. Most of the club's faithful were grief stricken in away.

It looked like a good farewell would be to win a domestic treble plus the Europa League trophy. With the Carabao cup already in the bag, Liverpool had more work to do. This "more work" included dealing with Manchester United, the deadly rival, in the FA Cup quarter final in order to keep the hopes of winning that particular trophy alive.

Manchester United had been blowing hot and cold so much thus season that a lot of people had already written them of well before kick off. But, interestingly the ten Hag-led team decided to rise to the occasion taking the lead very early on in yhe first half.
Unsurprisingly, the Reds from Manchester gave up yhe lead quite easily going into the break trailing by a goal [ the Egyptian King had to announce his return from injury]. It took a moment of sheer brilliance from Anyony Santos to force extra time.

The extra time was even more dramatic. Elliott put the Merseyside team in front with the aid of a kind deflection. Rashford decided to show up with a few minutes to go and levelled the score with a well placed shot. The highlight of the game was the match winner, the game's seventh goal scored by ten Hag's own youngster, Amad Diallo. Tears, joy, hearts, melting hearts, all around Old Trafford emotions were allowed to fly around.

Ten Hag's team had put on a good display,at least, good enough the dreams of a perfect farewell for Jurgen Klopp
