Hello, How are you? How's your weekend too? Well for me my weekend was again a busy one. Why? Now let me share this...
Last Saturday, I needed to wake up early again because I needed to attend to most important event. The first one was the culture talk which was Talk number 4 of our CLP last year. The other one was the Tabogon Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative General Assembly in Tabogon Central School and to attend the PTA meeting of my Eldest daughter. I turn between tree lovers this time as to what event I would prefer. By weighing and following my heart's desire, I attended first the cooperative general assembly for the reason that I could h 5 kilos of rice and the cooperative would refund my fare for going there and provide snacks too without registration while in our culture talk, I need to pay a registration of 250 pesos. For the PTA meeting, it was my husband who volunteered to attend. I just promised my husband that after the assembly I will attend the culture talk but I will no longer register since I will eat outside.
The 30th Assembly
The Assembly starts with registration and is followed by the formal opening. The formal opening begins with a prayer and singing of the National Anthem. After which was the cooperative pledge and message by the Cooperative Account. After the message was the reading of dividends and patronage refunds by the treasurer. Before the closing remarks, my niece with a golden voice rendered a song.
Part 2 of the assembly was the election and distribution of 5 kilos of rice and a raffle. There were 3 major items for the raffle. There's a refrigerator, television an aircon and a kilos of rice. I prayed that I could pick the raffle. But I was not lucky that time and it was ok because I had five kilos of rice already.
The Cultured Talk
After The General Assembly, I went to Bogo City hurriedly to attend the culture talk. I took a hitch ride to our school heads in Bogo so that I could go home early and take my lunch early so that by 1:00, pm I would already be at the venue of the orientation proper. Thank God I'm not late in the afternoon I was able to attend the talks or the orientation. The topics of the talks were the following:
1.Prayer, Scripture & 2.Spiritual Gifts Speech and Wrongdoings
3.Guidelines for Business Dealings
4.The Christian & His Money
5.Submission to Authority
6.What is Action Group Open Forum
This event is a must for all CLP 17 like me because this is a continuation of our CLP and a must for all Governance Team. Old members are also encouraged and requested to attend as a refresher. With all these talks everyone has the chance for growth in the community. Many attended and valued the efforts and time of our speakers. Even if I was not able to attend the morning sessions at least I listened and heard the talks in the afternoon session.
