Hello, friends, food lovers, and community greetings! In recent years, Norwegian farmers have started cultivating fava beans. In Norway, beans aren't widely used, and there tends to be a slow adoption of new foods, cultural trends, or community changes. I am curious about the reason behind the production of fava beans. I spoke with a nearby farmer who had these beans in her plot this year, but she couldn't provide a satisfactory answer.

Initially, I thought these beans might be for horses (Because in Norway they are known as hestebønner) means horse beans—after all, we have many horse stables around here and this is food for horses.
To learn more, I searched online and discovered they are fava beans are similar to other types of beans and can indeed be eaten by humans.
I am always cautious about new food and what food is good for health according to season or harvest time.

Fava beans plants are around 1 meter tall.

The last time I bought some vegetables, I got some fava-beans from that farmer's shop, When I bought them the pod was peeled away I intended to try them for their taste. Because of my busy work schedule, I forgot about them, and they ended up in the fridge. When I finally found them, they had sprouted, and their peels had turned brown. otherwise, they were still fresh.

I peeled them (removed brown peels) and washed them.

Then used a pressure cooker to cook them.

When cooked they tasted like boiled peanuts. so I created this new Middle Eastern-style recipe but haven't found a good name for it yet. It could be a veg side dish or maybe a party dip
