Welcome to my blog for another interesting entry to the splinterpands social media challenge. In the previous challenge, I wrote about a similar theme as it was the same as the last 2 weeks. This week we have a similar theme as well but Spl is a broad game and you can write so much stuff out of similar content.
This week am aiming to get into Champion III, do you think I can make it there as well have about 8 days left of this season. I think I can get to it but boy facing the opponents in diamond is hard as fuck. I might need to upgrade my deck to get into Champion but let’s see.
I’ve been battling on spl for almost a year now and even though I think you need an awesome deck to play in the highest level you can still do that through rentals. In the so and so months I’ve been battling most of my deck has been through delegations until the announcement of the rebellion set. Now with this new phase to the game, I’ve acquired a lot of other cards since then; some through rentals and the others through opening chaos legion packs.
My discovery of the game has been somewhat of a straightforward mission. Like most players, the moment you join Hive you see entries about Spl and then you’re intrigued to find out more. The motivation to immediately start playing has been from a friend playing a few weeks ago. With a little motivation and guidance, you’re finally motivated to make that 10-dollar transaction and get that spell book. Is it worth it though? Well, in my opinion, it’s a yes cause I’ve grown so far.
As I said in my other blog, playing Spl was a daily routine for me until I started my service. The nature of my work doesn’t allow me the freedom to freely play on some days. But when I am off I make sure I get into abbot 40 to 45 battles per day. This number seems to be increasing daily as I climb higher leagues.
Even on my days I still manage to put in my brawl games. Playing my brawl games on days that I work is a struggle lol. This is because I am mostly tired and not in the mood to do anything of that sort but damn, I got to get that sps reward right? Helping my team finish at the top is also a priority so we don’t joke with brawls lol.
My number one accomplishment, something that I’ll always be proud of is getting 2 gold foil cards which cost 100 dollars each the first time that I opened Chaos Legion packs. Those packs were a gift from a very good friend of ours. I didn’t know much about the packs but I did manage to get potions and open them. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had gotten 2 gold foil cards worth that amount.
The next big accomplishment for me is getting into the diamond. I’ve always said this and will continue to say it. When I started playing on bronze I thought it was going to be super hard getting into gold. I was thinking I’ll need another 2 years to get into diamond. But here we are in less than a year am already in Diamond.
My next and immediate goal as I said at the beginning of the post is to get into champion. With 7 days left in this season, I can get to it. It’s going to be hard but I think I can.
Spl looks like a complicated game from the outside. The 10-dollar spell book has also scared a lot of new people especially people who are just starting their blogging journey. They are scared they might not get their return on investment after buying that spell book.
Spl is a play2earn game but things have changed a lot for this game. Yes, you can buy the spell book but there are other investments you’ll need to make if you want to make a decent return. First trying to build your SPS stake and also your deck will help you a lot in game.
With the new phase of cards buying the rebellion packs and opening them is also a great idea. For some people you might get a card you don’t need, you can sell it on the market. When you open a pack, the cards you get there are yours to do with as you please.
This is the little I have to say about Spl today.
