It's been a while since I talked about my pets. I will share with today the story of how my fur babies were doing in their early transition period. So please sit back and read along with me as I share to you my experiences.
It has been an eight-month-old of my fur babies. Every day is a struggle to take care of them, by cleaning them and their messes. As they grew older or definitely toddler months, everyone in the house was bothered by their energetic behavior yet happiness was felt in our hearts.
Things were destroyed
From the slippers to the cabinets, books, clothes, and even floors were destroyed by their tethering. But I always see to it that discipline is taught also.
They grow bigger and bigger each day and livelier from time to time. Almost everything I bought from their socks, shoes, cage, and some clothes could not fit them anymore.
The most exciting transition that had happened to them was when my baby girl had her menstrual period. I had noticed that there was something on her organ a red liquid. so when I checked it, it was blood. I tried to observe a little longer until it was confirmed that she had it.
I could barely believe that at an early age, she would have her menstruation. Good thing I have stocked diapers, and let it wear to her. While doing it I also discover that my male puppy always smells the part of my female puppy. So we decided to let the girl sleep in our room and the boy will remain in their place.
A sound of crying I heard by the next day, It was my male puppy crying because he was left alone so I let @chaparlepez get the puppy and let it stay beside him. By the time it was 7 days after the menstruation discovery another liquid flowed from the girl's organ, it was not red anymore but brownish. As I do the research It means that our baby girl is now fertile and ready to mate with a boy.
Chim who is our baby girl has changed a lot. She always wanted a cuddle unlike before. She wanted to sleep beside me and always looked for me whenever I was not around. While our Kram the male one always follows Chim and will cry whenever he cannot get near to Chim.
Right now twice a day I see to it that Chim was clean and had changed her diapers. We decided not to mate her with other dogs because we were not ready to have another puppy. We already have the breed we wanted to mate on her but maybe the next cycle of her menstruation.
It is another preparation to take and I should get ready for it. As of now, we are looking for our Krams partner. They are not allowed to mate with each other as they are siblings on the father's side. Kram is dachshund and Chim is shit tzu Pomeranian.
I still could not believe that they had grown into an adult already. I always recall the first day I handed them, those are the moments hard to forget but life must go on.
