How to beat an Antichess PRO Player (+2000)

Sup everybody, today we are going to continue talking about antichess and why we should have a tournament with this variant in the focus.

I think I am one of the few content creators who talk about this topic in such depth but listen to me for a moment and you will find it as fascinating as I do.

I have already explained the rules several times, but here it goes again, the first one to run out of pieces or moves wins, all possible captures of pieces are compulsory, that's all of them.

So let's see some examples of what to do and what not to do.

Some tips that I haven't given in other posts on the subject, the games are usually quite short and after the first 3 or 4 moves you can understand more or less what the result is going to be.

    • THE OPENINGS ARE THE KEY PIECE MORE THAN EVER BEFORE

if you don't master some of the first moves you can be sure that you will lose a couple of times before you understand it, there is opening theory or at least a code or sequence to play the first moves here

so it's good to learn and read, if you don't want to end up like my opponent in this game.

    Congratulations!

if you managed to get out of the opening alive now some more dangers are waiting for you, always remember the basic principles of antichess

    • that your pieces occupy as little distance as possible on the board (unless you have an attack available to you)

as well as to look for piece chaining, but without abusing it, don't sentence all your pieces in a couple of moves if the victory is not certain, because also a bigger amount of pieces allows a bigger manoeuvre and control over the board.

    just look at this game

Calculate accurately or risk suffering until the end.

already at the levels I am at it is difficult for any of my opponents to waste a winning sequence if they manage to get it.

but at lower levels it's common to miss these multi-catch patterns or some sequences that leave you on the verge of victory, so even in the worst case scenario I recommend you resist and wait for an opening from your opponent.

    if you can't win, resist

    and finally

    practice

start to get to know the game, to flow with the strategies and to understand what this variant is all about, experience is the best of advisors, thanks for stopping by.
